An ounce of [crime] prevention is better than a pound of cure, 'ika nga. Death penalty is not the deterrent to crime; the certainty of arrest and conviction is. What we need are more properly equipped and trained cops patrolling the streets, and a more efficient justice system. The 1B allotment by the government for the purchase of new guns and cars for the police, following a prior allotment for the hiring of more policemen, is a good start towards solving the real cause of high crime rates. But I hope it will be followed by more concrete reforms in our justice system.

Actually, if found guilty, Eraps case is punishable by death. Lethal injection was the method, I think. And yes, Tita Glo was already against DP even before she was VP of the Philippines, so I dont think the issue with the Gringo's connect well.
