mao jud! proud to be velezian here..
Let's take all our biases kung asa ta na school na-belong or close..... Let the track records decide!!! Lisod kau maglalis ta sa ratings sa GMA ug ABS-CBN kay pwede man dayaon kung unsa jud.... pero ang passing rate sa board exams sa Medicine..... ambot kulang pa bana nga proof.... Kung statistics lng basihan.... well, the figures speak for itself....

Correct! As for me, I really decided on a medical school which I believe would make me a competent physician. When it comes to facilities, up to date ang CIM, we have a multi-million peso skills lab which is already in use right now, where students take part in mock OR sessions, and etc. And when it comes to hospital facilities, sure, walay MRI, CT SCAN ug uban pa diha, but we get the chance to read them too. Anyway, when you talk about being competitive when you're abroad, DO YOU KNOW the process of actually getting a training there? You take the USMLE, all 3 steps, one a written, theoretical exam, then there's the practical exam where you have to go to the US for that. And mind you, I know a lot of people with experience when it comes to USMLE, and to pass it, you don't need an exhaustive knowledge about MRI, or CT SCAN, or PETSCAN, or what high tech facilities you have. What you need is common sense, and basic knowledge of diseases, and sometimes pure luck.Originally Posted by ix_888
You're also right about that. But about topping the boards, its more of an INDIVIDUAL achievement and doesn't speak for the whole school. What matters when it comes to the quality of education the school provides is Passing percentage. And when it comes to this, CIM is consistent. above 85% jud pirme. And 100% sila sa board exams last August, and February and on August before that 87%.Originally Posted by unitoki16
