No matter how I see it, it's an ACT OF TERROR regardless it was done by a suicide bomber or not, foreign or domestic group. This was well-planned to cause terror.

I'm really wondering if this act of terrorism is an act against the government (rather than against America itself)). It was tax day and Patriot Day today. The circumstances surrounding the bombing is really starting to make it seem like a domestic act of terror.

This is very worrying.... It could be part of an Al Qaeda campaign. My sister is scheduled to run in the upcoming London marathon, she narrowly avoided being hurt on her honeymoon during the 2005 Bali bombings. How the hell do we stop these lunatics?

there was white smoke, after looking at it again...It is either black powder OR smokeless powder (which in large volumes produce substantial whitish smoke at combustion).



IEDs can contain any element of explosives, an explosive is classified as an IED based on whether it is makeshift/homemade, not by its composition (unless it uses military materials such as C-4 or other plastic explosives).

this photo shows a lot of white smoke.. yes.. black powder is highly suspect.
