Msgr. Dakay is the Reason why I do not go to church anymore and Msgr. Alesna too. Anyway, they remind me of those corrupt bishops and cardinals of the past. And his statement is not proper. He can say that about the Pope? Kung ako pa si Pope Francis kay automatic excommunication na. There is nothing wrong with having luxury items but dapat naa sa lugar. Pari gud sila. Kung ang worth sa iyang BMW kay iya sa gi donate sa pobre then sige. Or if mo donate sya more then mas maayo. Or if ibaligya niya then hatag sa pobre kay mas maayo pa dyud. Or maybe get a cheaper car.

Even if he was born rich it's not an excuse not to live a simple life. St. Benedict and St. Scholastica were rich twins but ila gi biyaan ila katigayunan. St. Francis of Assisi was also rich and nag vow of poverty siya.

I have been saying this lots of times.... the philippine catholic church we know today is no longer the bastion of morality it once was perceived to be especially during more trying times like Edsa I with the late Cardinal Sin.

History tells, read the book of Rizal (noli me tangere), look at the position of the old churches naa permi sa Atobangan sa City hall/Municipal hall, before majority of our lands our owned by friars.
