errrr.... zirv you have a point about the fundamentals (reasons behind your predictions)...

but remember the stock market does'nt always move because of its fundamentals... Im not saying that youre wrong in fact you just state very gud reason...

BUT... stock market price movements is greatly affected by fears and greed of people...

This means that even if GEO sucks or a bad bet... if there are enough people who thinks it will go up... people would start buying driving the demand up thus raising the stock price... it may be shortlived or may hold... your job as stock investor is ride the waves bail the crash (or at least thats one strategy)...

again Zirv.. im not saying ur wrong i think ur pretty smart investor... but remember also that majority of stock investors doesn think like you... and its the majority that drives the prices up or down... no matter how s2pd it may seem.

Me I won't buy at 2.50

but if anyone offers to buy GEO at 2.50 I will gladly sell it...

But looking at the company business


I don't see any demand for GEO shares at 2.50

it would be difficult to reach.....

there will be more sellers than buyers and if there are more sellers than buyers.... you know where the stock will go....

BPC hold (meralco is improving, first gen has increase profits, NLEX, Bayantel not doing bad anymore(but still lossing), Abs-cbn is also gaining market share) buy on weakness at 3.60-3.70

AT hold (mining in Carmen is ready to resume advantage close proximity to china the world's top consumer of metals) buy on weakness at 18.00

APX hold (will begin operations after years of exploration) buy on weakness if it goes down to 6.20-6.30

GEO sell

MER buy on weakness

EDC hold sell at 6.20

from rights. Tuod man ni bagsak pag 27th sa 1.76. Pero nganong ni close man ni dayon sa 1.88 unya a week later 2.10.

Unya active lagi gihapon ang mga foreign brokers. Buying ug selling. Pero nganong dili man ni puro sell? Duwa duwa ra kaha ni nila

You invest in a company which has a value that others don't see.


GEO why I don't see any value:

The reason is that they have not done anything yet with there mineral rights or concessions.

Even simple digging and exploration they haven't done. All you need to do is send a team of geologist and a couple of assistants to investigate the area.

So far they haven't done it.

Because they don't have data on their mining properties no foreign mining company will partner with them.

Unless GEO hits an EL DORADO.... nothing is certain or definite with the company.....

I think the adjusted price has been effected last April 27,2007 (ex-date).

Last trade for Apr.26 was 1.98. By April 27,2007 the posted "as PREVIOUS trade" for Apr.26 was 1.74.

Anyway, as for the value of the company it's anybody's guess unless one is an insider.
PD: I was trading GEO last year at less than P0.80. Too many contrarians shook me out
with the same infos. Now this:

LONDON — Rusina Mining NL has signed a Letter of Intent with Geograce Resources Philippines Inc for the Acoje Project in the Philippines.

The agreement envisages both Rusina and Geograce to jointly explore and develop various mining projects within the Philippines, satisfying Rusina’s requirement for local Philippine ownership of projects, and having a financially capable partner with known property acquisition potential.

In a separate agreement, Rusina has signed a technical services agreement with Geograce.

the ex-date only means you can exercise the rights based on the no. shares of GEO you are holding on april 27, 2007

the payment for those rights will be on may 15-21,2007

the listing will be on may 25,2007

its on the 25th you will expect the adjusted price to happen

zirv.. in the first place, who woudl have thought that geo will reach this far at 2.06, when it was only around .20 less than a year ago. i admire your style of value investing... ala papa warren. but i think you are only focusing on its present value.. instead of looking at its future value or its potentials.. which i consider in choosing the right stocks. GEO being selected in the world conference participated by top foreign companies means they have confidence in the firm.. it also provides international exposure and when foreign investors pour in money... you know what happens to the stock price..

Anyway, il sell my 1 year-old AT stocks tom at 21.5.... basin mahalin diay..

that is the question...... If a lot of buyers are willing to pay that price of 2.50

then GEO might go beyond 2.50

but if there are no buyers at 2.50 and there are lots of sellers then it can never reach 2.50
