    It will be interesting to see who uses/abuses these laws. Civil law is already used as a tool for silencing critics by politicos with deep pockets. I hope we see commonsense and fairness in it's application.

    If the spam texts came from sun/smart/globe, it will not be considered a violation not unless the users or subscribers do not have an option to unsubscribe on these spams sent by the said networks.

    As this law focuses on different punishable acts like hacking, cybersex, child pornography, spamming or unsolicited commercial communication, identity fraud and the most controversial online libel, the real concern is the implementation and whether our authorities are capable to execute this law in common sense and fairness. I wonder though how they will use the 50 million yearly budget.

    I was BORN in the 80’s. We are the last generation who learned to play in the street, we are the 1st who played video games, were the last to record songs off the radio on cassettes and we are the pioneers of walkmans and chatrooms. We learned how to program the VCR before anyone else, play with the Atari, Megadrive and Super Nintendo and believed that the internet would be a free world

    how about torrents?
    unsay reaction if naay mo propose na lawmaker or whatever na i block ang mga torrent sites diri sa pinas ala UK, Denmark etc.
    and ISP tracking and serving warnings to those users mo download og illegally acquired files.

    i wonder ang naghimo ani nga bill kamao ba mogamit ug computer, kaila ba ug internet, kung kahibaw man unsa gidugayon nigamit computer/internet,.....etc

    mas daghan pa ko ug pangutana bahin sa nagihmo sa bill kaysa bill itself

    and oh....hapit na biya election sa pinas...hmmmmm
