I've read the book and love the story! Can't wait to see how Gong Li portrayed the hostile Hatsumomo and of course Ziyi Zhang as Chiyo/Sayuri...mmm..I'm a fan of this novel and I swear it's one of my favorites ever! Check my Avatar!

i would have preferred to have an all japanese cast for this movie as it's a japanese story. but i believe the cast was chosen for their acting ability and not their nationality

well the actors and actresses were really good. I think the cast was really chosen well.
the disappointment was it did not focused more on the life of the geisha , it should have stick with whats in the book. geisha are historical figures, they should have stick with what a geisha truly are..

yeah more on the love story nga mura naman noon to og telenovela hehhe..
then it did not show how beautiful and captivating kyoto ..
ziyi, gong lin and yeoh were really great in it
