I opened up with my husband and told him that I just couldn't get over what happened to us at the reception. How we felt the establishment has cheated us with our food. Not surprised, he's still upset about it too, so i decided to share this. Why keep it to ourselves, when we could help out any couples out there who are also planing to hold events there? or just plainly giving justice to our sullen experience.

Like any other excited-nuptial-high-couple, we have set Chateau de Busay to be our wedding reception. Despite the warning from our good friend who also had their wedding reception at the same place almost 10 years ago. We were warned against how the establishment manage to hide some of the food for the event at the kitchen. "Ayaw i declare and tanan lechon ninyung gi order" according to our good friend. "If you ordered 2, tell Chateau, you only ordered one, otherwise they will not bring out all the food from the kitchen". They said, "i base ra nila ang food na ilang gi gawas sa buffet table according to the number of guests that they could see". And they may not refill anymore. So with that, we warned our relatives about this, and asked them to help us police the waiters. To our dismay, they still outsmarted us. It is indeed their craft. "If nag bantay mi nila, mas nag bantay sila namo". In our guest list, we invited 150 guest. We paid worth 130 pax only, coz they said, naay buffer na worth 10 pax for that. Also we have included our vendors and suppliers for the event in that 150 pax we have declared. So apil na ang photographers, the 2 bands (one of the bands pa gyud kay daghan kayu ug members kay latin band, they were around 10 to 12 people), the DJ crew, our coordinators etc. So you could imagine our guests were really not many.

Apparently, the number of guests who showed up were only less that 100 pax. So imagine if 20 are from vendors and suppliers. We only had around 40 guest na guest gyud ang ni show up. We had a lot of empty tables at the reception. But, wala na gi refill among buffet, among wine nga gi dala, they opened them from outside the reception and brought us wine glasses filled with wine, wa pod mi naka monitor na if gi hurot nila among wine or if they were keeping some. nag buy mi ug wine from outside with our own name and decoration on the sticker each bottle. the 2 lechon we ordered from Alejos, wa na mo gawas ang mga ulo. One of my cousins saw the waiters taking the food containers with some contents still in it- outside the hall going to the kitchen and returned to the reception empty handed. When we asked them asa na ang mga sobra na lechon, they said the band members daw consumed them all. Also, ang nabilin sa among food kay sabaw nlng ug almost nothing. Imagine worth 150 pax na food na hurot lang when ang guest ni show up barely reached 100 pax? asa man ang worth 50 pax or even more na food? We confronted them the following day kay ang na dala namo na food that night kay mura rami ug na tagaan ug sobra na food from some party we attended. Victor ( the manager) could not even look at me and referred me to the guy who was assigned that night ug sa kusinero pod whom i confronted and was reasoning out his best na ila gyud gi gawas tanan food.

My husband and I were so saddened ,and that experience really left a bad taste in our mouth. What's unfortunate was, it was our wedding day! And every time we watched our videos or even look at the pictures, we cringed cause we really feel cheated. We can't forget it! How could they take advantage of us like that? When the bulk of our expenses for the whole wedding went to the food itself - but we were cheated by the establishment.

Default Wedding makeup artist that is not to be trusted, Edwin Abella

I was cheated from Edwin Abella, wedding make artist. He stole a head piece from me that was very very expensive. I knew he has it but he did not return it. I wanted to warn other brides about his.

Since I have tried to get back my hairpiece from you and had an unsuccessful response you leave me no choice but to write a bad review on you. First, I will post on TripAdvisor.com, than I will write on all FILIPINO wedding blogs and forums, and trust me, YOU WILL LOSE BUSINESS. Now, all I ask is for you to give my sparking headpiece to my Aunt Lilian as I know you have it and saw it in your makeup bag. On TripAdvisor.com:
My other complaint is the makeup artist, Edwin Abella. My sparkly, expensive headpiece was taken by Edwin (I know for sure because my headpiece was in his makeup bag and I though he kept it for safekeeping but never returned it). Even after tipping him 500 Php for the 10,000 Php services (for 10 people). I tried texting him back to give it back but he did not reply. You just don't steal from your clients. I wanted to keep the headpiece to preserve along with the my wedding dress as a family hierloom and hand it to my daughter when it's time for her wedding. It is disappointing.

nice ra ba pagka develop ang lugar.. basin wala kahibalo ang management ani?

  10. #70
lagi no...baka wala hibalo ang management...

my close friend will be having her reception at Chateau as well...and i told her about this link that I read about ...
I am saving the link as well and will have her read it.

I actually shared this na man, and medyo na worry na nuon sya...but i told her, it should be her wedding coordinator's responsibility to make sure na di jud ni ma-happen...and at the same time, as her matron of honor, i'll check from time to time. This is her time to enjoy and shine, and basically, not worry about anything...it's her wedding baya...

so i feel bad pud for you TS, kasi wala nuon mo naka enjoy todo2 sa inyo wedding, reception, and everything about this supposedly special day...

and good of you to share your experience ...so at least mabigyan ng heads up ang lahat ng maka read ani na thread.
