hai naku, wa jud ayo hiring process. I was scheduled for my last exam at 9:00am pero 12:00 noon nalang wa pajud mi gi-entertain. Liman kag pag 12:30nn gitawag akong name only to give me a letter stating that I am gonna retake the second exam for later dates pajud. Well, there's no question about my retake, ang ako lang ba, i waited for three hours and a half just for that notice?! They could have let me retake the second exam on the day that I went there, right?! Why is it nga ang akong ka-batch sa second exam gipa-retake sila on the day that we were schedule for the last exam but why is it nga pabalikon paman ko on later dates? Wa jud ko kasabot! Gi-inform ko that I will have my last exam on that day, then pag-adto nako letter for retake on later date ra diay for second exam is what I only get, Walay gamit ang ilang registration sa table kay dili nila tan-awon ang registration for exam ug ang iyahang reason kay dili daw legible ang pagkasuwat sa mga applicants. Unsa naman na nga pagka-reason intawn oi! Then ang pag-conduct pajud nila sa exam walay klaro kay dili dungan. Wala pajuy klarong instructions. Sa initial interview dili pajud eye-to-eye contact ang interviewer. HIRING PROCESS PALANG WA NAI AYO. Try mo apply didto. you will really agree with me. Good luck nalang jud.

bay when you're applying for a callcenter post, don't expect that they're interested with your visual or facial delivery sa imong statements. They're screening your audio communication quality. (grammar , enunciation , pitch , volume , rate ........ )

When you take calls, imong tingug ra man ang madawat sa caller, d mana makita imong nawng or visual expressions. That's why magduko or no eye-to-eye ra nang interviews sa callcenters. At certain levels, interviewers are receiving your message thru the ears alone.. without the influence of the eyes.

that's a tip for those expecting a callcenter job interview. alright ?! :mrgreen:

@indie: bai kabalo sad intawn ko ana oi. Pioneer ug Team leader baya ko sa usa ka dakong callcenter sa IT Park kanang naa sa PIPC. And all our interviewers way back year 2000 til now really have an eye to eye to contact with the interviewers. Miski siplat man lang wala jud ang taga-teletech. Miski sa People Support, or Convergys, or Sykes, or Western WATS, the the interviewers have an eye to eye contact with the apllicants they wanna see your facial expressions too.
When you're on the phone, yes, they can't see your expression, but ang kuhaon ana sa mg interviewers are people nga dili lang nice ug voice over the phone but most important is your personality. Remember, the eyes a re the windows to the soul.

@indie: No one was born as a callcenter agent, so sa initial interview, dili ang voice projection ang gipangita ana bai kundili ang personality and background. Also, as an interviewer, to see if the applicant is telling the truth, iyaha jud tan-awon ang eyes sa applicants. Naa man gud technique ana bai. But if an interviewer is not a Psych grad, you wouldn't know it.

Furthermore, as an interviewer and as a listener, since wala man ang nag-interview sa phone he/she should listen attentively as a respect. Ikaw bai, kung makigstorya kag laing tao then dili ka tan-awon, what would you feel?

yes there maybe the conventional intial interview wherein the conventional things happen like interviewer looking at you with her/his facial reaction to what you're saying and visually expressing. BUT , with callcenters (?), nah... MOST ,but not all, interviewers can take the interview a step higher to make the process more efficient. These happen on the interviews of TODAY. maybe wala pa ni sa una.

What are they doing now? let's have an update. While conducting the initial interview, interviewers may be making an assessment on your communication skills, your verbal communication skills. To be more specific, your oral communication less your visual expression. Interviewers don't care much how you look while on the interview. That's why initial process are done thru the phone, on-line or when pabasahon ka during interview. Wala kaayo sila paki kung unsa imo gsul-ob, if gakurog, nangluspad or naunsa imong dagway while nag-answer sa questions. as long as your thoughts come to the interviewer's ears on the acceptable quality (communication-wise... grammar, phrasing , ug uban pa) then safe ra ka. :mrgreen:

I'm not saying na VOICE PROJECTION ang gipangita bay kay dili man pagka - vocalista or dj ba kaha ang atong giapplayan diri.
let's face it, being an eRep will mean communicating thru the phone, so ang gkinahanglan is ang atong Verbal (oral) communication skills. When you're on the phone, it's not only your thoughts that matters --- it's more on HOW you say your thoughts (regardless of how you look when you say it).

This is the reason why interviewers will assess if the applicant have @ least the acceptable quality of Oral communication skills lang. Anyway matrain ra man basta naa potential. But interviewers just have to be very careful in doing the assessment to minimize training fall-outs, that's one reason why walay eye-contact --- to concentrate on their sense of hearing.... and to let the applicatnts concentrate his/her effort on the quality of his oral communication as he answers questions . Dili na panindutay ug tingug ha. Ang gpaminaw diha is kung sakto ba ug pagkahimutang ug pagkadeliver ang atong gpanulti sa hubad sa Inenglis.

Callcenter industry job hiring in our country is now with a batting average (acceptance rate) of 10% only. Pasabut is sa gatos nga nangapply napu ra ang nadawat or nilampus sa processo. tsk tsk tsk
Daghan reasons why ... and one of those is - ---------
---- the employment/hiring process is relatively new or unconventional to the perspective of the applicants.
ex ... no eye-to-eye during an interview , which may be deemed as absence of respect in our day-to-day environment. .

Para nako ... "knowledge and anticipation of what's gonna happen is halfway to eliminating the "shock-factor" " by indie 4/2/07.

@ chompx Kung dili ko tan-awn sa akong kastorya (?) , of course , malain jud ko .. d ko mahimutang kay murag walay respeto nako o nahadlok ba kaha. Lami kaayo DAPUGON ng mga klaseha sah ! ?
PERO bay , kung kani mahitabo nako sa usa ka Callcenter interview? (kay callcenter man jud ni atong g-storyan diri) Then I know What to feel. Why ? .. simple,.., because I know ... as I have discussed .

i apologize if thats how you feel sa amu mga Talent Acquisitions. i respect your perception and will take that as a comment. you said in your previous post na pioneer ka your a Teamleader sa usa ka dako na callcenter sa PIPC ryt? just wanted to ask you a question what made you apply with TeleTech? hmmm... maybe ur not satisfied with your JOB? company?

i really respect your experience and knowledge with the BPO industry because it had brought u to ur current position but i guess u need to improve your way of thinking (suggestion lang) TeleTech is a very young company here in CEbu and we are just starting to expand and accounts are just flowing in. so d ralways glitches as what we call it... ryt? ive also been in the call center industry for 3 years plus.started with etel in manila then convergys. then later Transfered to PS and now with also a pioneer with TeleTech. and have experience different cultures. but i never say anything bad because i understand tere i constant changes in this type of work. sorry if you feel bad again and for your comment il surely raise this up to upper management. just hoping ul experience the TeleTech lifestyle. cheers.
