So I just called tech support again. The agent told me there are too many Sun Broadband users in my area and that there really is nothing that can be done to improve the speed atm. FFUUUU- And I can't even have my account cancelled since I'm still in the lock-in period.

Give them a formal letter explaining your situation and stop paying the bills, the lock-in period is an empty threat.. I know a lot of people who disconnected from Globe and never payed up, for a couple of months they kept getting a letter for the legal department of Globe but nothing really happens, a lawyer is more expensive than the subscription!
I'm in Quezon City. My broadband account is bundled with my phone account. I need my Sun phone for unlimited calls so not paying the bills is not an option for me. They'd just disconnect my phone service and I don't want that to happen. *sigh*
