pro amd and pro intels. geesh! give it a rest. for all you know they are quite happy because of people like these, it spells more profit for them, and its called marketing strategy.
Which part of it is the marketing strategy ?
advertising, the step by step release on technology, the critics (who knows some of those people are hired by them, just to spice things up). n lots more.
So technological advancement is now marketing/advertising?hmm in that case your basically telling me Thomas Edison who made the first lightbulb in 1879 ( date? ) was just a marketing..Originally Posted by wikki
I believe all those he mentioned are in a sense marketing strategies.
I agree with wikki though. In a sense that we know that always man gyud na nila increment ang technology. It's no secret that companies like these hold back technologies that exist for the sole purpose of beating it in a later product. We all know that these new products are just actually those same products nga gi relabel nya gipang enable mga uban features. For all we know intel & amd already has technology lasting them for the next 5-10years of advancements. Hatag dayon ug insider info "kunohay" blah blah blah... Cellphones, cpus... hell, cd drives were the most obvious steal back in the old days. Our technicians knew that an 8x functionality already existed in 2x drvies long before the 4x drive was even "invented". All of these are just a continuous streak of marketing. Delayed gratification ning ila tirada.
regarding mr edison. you can't reap the fruits of your labor if you don't market your product now, can you? of course, what common 1879 citizen wouldn't be interested in a glowing piece of glass that would very much replace the hotter and annoying candle?
You guys are actually forgetting about it "technological stability" a good example are those drives you mention 8x drives were possible on the 2x era but did you come to consider that it hasnt been extensively tested yet to be an 8X drive, companies do this for both product reliability and stability.
As for the processors the 65nm process is fairly new to the manufacturing process specially on AMD's side. And yes both intel and amd already have future products lined-up as early as 15years ahead from now but they are refining and improving those "marketed" products so that consumers can use them w/o a hitch of problems.
As for conroe its a product WAY back in the Pentium-M days thats like 1999~2006 its a 6years worth of research.
right now IBM has a 500Ghz desktop micro processor and im guessing its "marketing" thats preventing it from releasing it now right?
but then again i guess its marketing that nvidia cant release Geforce 9900GTX-ABCD Edition and ATI's XXX9999XTXYZ Edition right..
its basically saying that Intel was ready with conroe way b4 intel was even founded..
I know the difference between that marketing and tech advancements but saying conroe is just marketing ? thats like a big lol
atot ato ila gpakita sa intel woi!!dli katuohan!!!! mo aso man nuon ang processor sa amd.... dli na tnuod woi......!! mugna2x ra na sa intel........ pero ako mas maau pa ang AMD s d best!!!!![]()
