A portion of it can be developed in partnership with the Ayalas as a business park pretty much like the Cebu Business Park or maybe as an IT Park like Asiatown in Lahug, which would then house future Call Centers and other related companies... Another portion of it can house future hotels, retirements villages, hospitals..... and if the plans would push through, a second SM City or Ayala Mall...
Agree ko ani na statement. As a mayor and a father to a centain community or city you must be a peace maker. Find some good things that your people will benefit dili kay mag init2x pud og ulo. Imagine, we still have to pay an interest of almost 1 million peso per day. tsk! tsk! tsk! too bad for us mga cebuano.

Giving in is a sign of weakness and means that you don't know where you stand. Gullas knew about SRP even when he was the mayor of talisay. Talisay was even offered a part of SRP on which ilang i develop. If there is anyone to be blamed, it is Gullas. All he was thinking of was money. Kung tanan nalang butang madala ug sabot2, way ma himo sa atong nasod. Osmeña is the only one who knows where he stands mao nga dili gyud siya mu sugot ug "win/win" solution. Naa gyuy mu daog sa ug naay ma pildi sa gubat. Dili pwede kamong tanan daog. The sad part is, daghan na among. Pero in the end... Everything was all because of Gullas' greed.

Win/Win solution is definitely a right solution... The SRP issue cannot be compared with the war in Mindanao... Whereas the war in Mindanao cannot be bargained considering that we are squashing a rebellion, the SRP should be dealt with differently... Cebu and Talisay have one thing in common and that they are all Cebuanos.. If Cebu wants to compete with Hongkong and Singapore rather than Davao or other cities in the country (as what Osmena once said before) then it should get its acts together..

I believe this issue must be ressolve as soonest time possible. As i've said Cebu City paid for almost 1million pesos interest daily to the contractors. This is from cebuano taxes. Sad kaayu, very sad.....

And now people are suffering because of this greed. I am not taking side with Gullas or Osmeña though, I am just trying to point out that if these "pride" won't come down from either of them, then I guess there won't be anymore SRP. And the people who'll get the advantage of it are the drag racers (which happened almost every friday and saturday night). Indeed there are a lot of complications but they need to agree on one thing, for the people and not to show that it is weakness. But then again, this aint the perfect world we're living in.

Why dont just talisay pay for the cost of reclaiming for the portion they claim theirs.. di sad na pwede claim lang ka dayun then bayaan sa imo ang Cebu magbayad sa utang. When the SRP project began i think talisay was approached by cebu for some sort of joint thing.. but talisay refused cause they cant afford it.. karon noon na human na magapil2x na noun..
