but as what i have said earlier... dapat inyo gikiha si late judge ocampo. kay ni hukom siya bisan nakakita siya og reasonable doubt.

it's not easy to do that to a judge. especially when there are no grounds for inhibition. they fought for that & lost. in the interest of justice, the prosecution should have allowed the judge to be changed and the basis for the change would be by raffling for a new sala but they didn't.Originally Posted by FK

dili ba ang inhibition kay kana ra man pa-ilisan ang judge?
ila onta to gikiha og administrative charges ba kaha... pareho sa kaso ni ex-Judge Suerte. kay nagpataka lang og judge.
what is your basis of him being guilty, media?Originally Posted by doc_ock
i agree, tampered and fake evidences and generally corrupt courts.
it doesn't mean that corrupt people almost certainly bow down to people who has the money. they have to be their ka-kulay or ka-uri first. in short they have to trust that their masters won't squeal or give them up. unfortunately, the parents of the defense are not the type.
if i were the parents of the defense. i'll take hold of rusia, protect him and buy him if needed but these people are not like that.
the best way to rid of corrupt judges in handling a case is inhibition. which is not so hard to do considering evidence and circumstance.Originally Posted by FK
but filing a case to a judge that has already rendered judgement is almost impossible to do. otherwise everybody will be doing that.
that is the reason why the prosecution fought doubly hard not to have ocampo replaced. if they truly believed in the system and have faith in other judges then they should have allowed it.
again, for the interest of justice even if it will cause minimal delay they should have agreed for the judge to be inhibited. otherwise, what's the point? if the truth won't or can't come out.Originally Posted by FK
they were held in contempt not because of langay² because they questioned the judge's judgement coz their objections, witnesses and case in general were always snubbed and shelved. Mind you they were "good" lawyers. Good in a sense that they were "categorically" not known to "blatantly" lie and does not use dirty tactics and in good standing with the IBP.
Where is Davidson Valiente Rusia: :!:
From Sun star Daily Cebu:
She said Rusia has not returned nor attempted to reach her. She also has no way of reaching Rusia who, she disclosed, keeps moving from one place to another.
In an interview last night, Chiong admitted being worried about Rusia. She believes Rusia “went back to his old habits.” She did not elaborate.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) 7 chief investigator Enrique Lacerna, in a separate interview, said the police unit does not know Rusia’s whereabouts, even if Rusia was their ward at the height of the Chiong trial.
“We don’t know where he is or what he is doing. He hasn’t communicated with us,” Lacerna said, adding that CIDG doesn’t even know if Rusia’s allowance from the witness protection program is still being given.
Now, as the family and friends of Juan Francisco “Paco” Larrañaga launch their crusade to save the Osmeña scion from lethal injection, Rusia may have to face the public again.
A STAR WITNESS SUDDENLY LOST?! THEY COULD HAVE SAID THAT HE IS UNDER THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM.
HE IS NO LONGER TAKING OR GIVEN "ALLOWANCE" BY THE PROGRAM OR THE CHIONGS?! PROBABLY BECAUSE SOMEBODY ALREADY STASHED HIM IN SOME ISLAND OR PROVINCE AND TAKING GOOD CARE OF HIM. I WON'T BE SURPRISED IF THIS GUY WILL MYSTERIOUSLY HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND DIE. THAT WILL BE THE DAY WHEN HE WILL ULTIMATELY HAVE NO USE ANYMORE.
Let's just say Paco is guilty but OBVIOUSLY he was not given due process. There were a lot of very obvious inconsistencies with the police investigation and the courts. The negative highlighting of the media for sensationalism, gore and blood. Bad News is always Good News.
People by nature want blood even if they have no idea. Just like Christ, he did nothing wrong. On the contrary, he did good but people wanted him crucified. For what? Because of inferiority and pride of the pharisees and of the people.
Now, if you are just an ordinary civilian in your homes. Try to look at his case with humanity and objectivity on the side of the accused and try very hard to convince yourself that they are really indeed guilty by your own intuition and instinct based on the FACTS of the case and not just because of what the media presents to you and of the unfortunate majority's popular clamor for blood.
Try to look at it at a different angle and perspective this time and with a different heart as well.
