CUTE is sometimes used as euphemism. This means that, people say "cute" to be polite, to show respect of someone or something that is not essentially beautiful nor pretty. ^^
CUTE could sometimes mean with a feeling of "interest" involve especially towards the opposite ***... (not generally, well at least for me. ^^)
GWAPO/GWAPA, in my opinion, involves a feeling of physical attraction, maybe not really of interest. ^^
Which do you prefer to be called "cute" or "gwapa"?
For KOreans and Japanese - CUTE is more used and has better connotation..
Japanese often say "Kawaii" , for Koreans "Gyupta".. They often use this expression than "pretty" or "beautiful" to women...
SA ato kaha?

someone posted in this thread, can't find that post nga lang that
cute = adorable
gwapa/gwapo = admirable
i agree on this. when you call someone cute its more of a wholesome attraction to that person, while if muingon ka gwapo or gwapa, its more likely a physical attraction lang.
