Yes its free, 50 dollars and lifetime, BUT you need to pay for Expansion packs, unlike WOW you pay 15 dollars a month, and you get unlimited updates.

obviously.. people say Guild Wars is better because its Free after you buy it for the first time because World of Warcraft needs you to pay 15 dollars a month :P If there was no money involved in both of them, Wow>Guild Wars.

Please don't say World of Warcraft sucks because of the price, please try playing the game first lol, just because its expensive it doesn't mean it sucks.
