yes, moderators deserve respect. but there comes a time when they have crossed the line.

when you think they have crossed the line, don't go rant in public. there are proper venues for such. going public will only make things worst for you.

i started a thread that was plainly asking if someone knows the authentication of the nbalive i downloaded.
he then lock the thread saying that the thread was about piracy! hello? i was just asking about the authentication of the downloaded file. if he hates piracy so much, then why has he not lock some threads about p2p...instead, nag apilx2 siya og hatag og mga advice on how to maximize the speed sa bit torrent.hows promoting piracy now?

you asked for the password of a pirated package.. that is an act of piracy and that is against our rules. talking about p2p isn't piracy... as what zerone_null explained:

he locked your topic because he is a mod and that is part of his duties... he posted that his NBA Live 2005 is legit. what is wrong with that? Mods are free to be themselves, vern posts it as it is... we don't cloak their personality and will never do...

its clear that he is abusing his powers as a mod. he does not deserve to be one! and you mods claim that if we follow the rules, we wont be moderated! speak yourself!

I don't see any abuse there... he is doing his job... don't you find it odd that only those that are moderated are also the ones who nag a lot? Don't let "being moderated" get to your spine... think reasonably why you were moderated and not rant around crying that moderators are abusing their authority.

i know, lisud ang trabaho sa moderator, but its you who's making it more complicated! i would like to see a new set of rules (in writing) para sa mga mods! and i would like to see vern out of your staff!

We have certain guidelines but I'm sorry to say that it is none of your business... for you to demand that we kick vern out as a moderator speaks highly of yourself. Who are you to demand such? vern is one of our most active and efficient moderator, why should we take him out? As per our forum rules, all moderators should be regarded with respect. You can flame us, curse us to your hearts content thru PM (we might be more receptive and forgiving)... but never in public.

I don't want to make an argument ok. I just want to ask you is your "Operarting System" original?
because im using Mac OSX code name : Panther, and you know its original because it only runs on Mac Hardwares. And I also use original WindowsXP Pro, but that doesn't mean i don't like piracy...

Do you really hate PIRACY? Piracy is still the best thing to experiment with and the platform for learning...

lol this is funny... in behalf of the mods, what you, he, or we use(s) is none of your / our business... the issue here is about piracy being discussed within the forum. you may talk about piracy as a subject, but you may not talk about activities that encourages or conforms to piracy... and on my behalf yes, I use an Original OS... Moderator should understand that just because they're moderator that doesnt mean they have the right to argue or to make a topic to be argued or to join and argument. But a moderator attempts to avoid any arguments and doesnt act like mr. know it all.

One more thing a "MODERATOR" is suppose to be the first one who understand every behaviour, needs and demands of every members on this forum.

A moderator should be the model and example of their members.

Most of all a MODERATOR is HUMBLE.

A moderator should be careful on the choice of words that comes out of their thoughts making sure that no one is offended.

moderator in cyber lingo is a general term for someone who oversees a discussion forum and do what he sees fit... it doesn't conform to proper definition anymore. much like a cracker is now called a hacker. it has evolved to become a generic term in cyberspace just like how a hacker is now associated as someone who destroys when in definition, a hacker is someone who improves or fixes things....

if we were to conform to the old definition of a moderator, you wouldn't see your post right away as we have to screen them one by one for posting approval. of course, we don't want to do that...

@welemski ... Your dictionary meaning of "moderator" does not apply here. Moderators are not robots. Moderators are fully allowed to express their opinions even if that opinion is not the opinion of the general public.

On the contrary ... you crossed that line. That line that is drawn by the rules. Whether you understood the meaning of the line is irrelevant to moderators needing to enforce it. You were moderated, yet you insist that the line does not exist. You crossed a line that has been drawn out long before you invented a line that you claim I or ZN crossed.

@welemski again. Your views on piracy are irrelevant. As has been said before many many times ... aiding/encouraging piracy is AGAINST the rules. I have no interest in what OS you run or how many computers you have. What I think of piracy is also irrelevant to me or Zerone_null moderating a post. We neither encourage it or give people instructions on how to obtain it. On a more personal note ... what I hate is this ...

no, Windows isn't the most unstable and lame OS but it can be... you just don't know how to make it stable. Just the same way, I can make your beloved MAC OS the most unstable one... but this isn't the forum to discuss such so save your arguments. If you want you can create a thread under Software & Games and I'll gladly join the discussion...

again, ranting and raving about the "injustices" done by mods will get you nowhere. if ever you feel that you have been unjustly treated by any of the mods, don't go out and blow your top by posting in the forums.that doesn't work, you will only end up getting reprimanded for showing disrespect to a moderator.the best way to settle issues is to talk it over with the moderator in question or you can always talk to the admins or beor about it.its that simple, no need to go ballistic or go mod bashing really....
