Its a really good strategy game... I find it cool to make a combination of tactics as well as fine graphics.
Like planning well, when to attack... after the super weapon being launched... eheheh
Using the rocket buggy's strategy.. or let us say the best way to eliminate tanks without being damaged.
Using the baby nuke launched by MIGs (nuke general) effectively.. very nice.. especially against infantry... heheheh.. You will see infantries flying to the air as well as onto your screen.. It looks cool..
And many more...
From that I could consider it the best strategy game in PC... eheheh
I really liked it... Its complete... the only things missing in the game is... extra graphics.. for better visuals hehehe

Graphics and Gameplay are important in games. If DOW lowered their specs, it would'nt be this good. You may say SC had minimal specs but it was a standard at the time of release. RTS games at that time more or less has the same specs. RTS nowadays need respectable cards. I couldnt blame it for having high specs. It just raises the bar in terms of graphics. IMO, the graphics justifies the reqs of DOW. GREAT GAME.

actually it was Dune 2 which started it all, then followed by Command and Conquer, then Warcraft 2, then C&C: Red Alert, then Starcraft, etc...

sorry to disappoint you bro... but Dune 2 was the first ever PC RTS game... try to google it. Age of Empires is just one of the few who followed suit.

back to topic, there can never be a best strategy game all time. they are all incomparable to each other. if I must pick one then it has to be Dune 2 since it is the game that started RTS.
