Pag sure uy, AFAIK, religious people never stood in the way of DNA testing...and kinsa gani to ang nag-abli sa concepto anang genes ug DNA? Dili si Darwin bay, kundili ang relihiyosong si Mendel. Ayaw pag-scatter og disinformation diri.

Ang sistemang cloning, gi-oppose na siya not much because of religious doctrine, but because of its adverse social effects. Read "Our Post Human Future: Consequences of Bio-Technology Revolution" written by my favorite writer (who happens to be atheist) Dr. Francis Fukuyama.

Yes... I also believe that thinking that.. My God is better than yours is really the problem in the first place...
Mas dako ang problema bay kun naa ka sa usa ka relihiyon then imong pagtuo is "Their god is better than mine", unsa pagtuo nimo kinahanglan adunay stockholm syndrome ang mga relihiyoso? hehe.

Its a sad fact, dili gyud mahitabo ang gilantaw nga unity, there's a great battle of opposing forces in this universe.

--- a famous quote goes : " I'd rather die believing that there is a GOD but there is actually none, than die believing that there is no GOD but there actually is."

I'd rather have a relationship with God than have a religion. You may have all the religions in the world, but I'll stick to my God: the One who sent His Son to die on the cross and save my soul.

i invite you all to attend Quest, we worship the LORD, we call upon His name, we are being taught on how to live our lives as pleasing to God and as Christan as it can be.

How good is good? and how bad is bad?

When a person give alms to the poor, respect his parents love his children but cheats on his wife, is he better than a robber that steal from the rich in order to buy a much needed medicine for an ailing mother in pain in a crowded hospital? or the one that kills a murderer who massacred his family raped all the women in the community but a kind and upright member of the society?

when can we say this is good or better than this one? or this one is bad and more evil than that one?

Scriptures is very clear. For all have sinned and come short to the glory of GOD.
and the wages of sin is death but the gift of GOD is eternal life in Christ Jesus.

I remember my son when he was still about 3 years old, very innocent, he just blurted out from his mouth that it is snowing in our house. cute right? but that is evidence of the fall of men and the inherited sin of the flesh, he lied (cute lies) without us teaching him to do so. All have sinned? yes including the innocent but what is relieving is that the innocent have not yet reached the aged of accountability and therefore they are not accountable as we adults are.

so going back o the topic, how then can we say that this good work is better than this one and that this is more evil than that one? how can we then separate who will be rewarded (heaven or not) and who will not be?

AGAIN all have sinned, no amount of good works will change that. why exert more effort when GOD provided the way. Jesus said: I am the way the truth and the life NO ONE comes to the Father except BY ME. Embrace HIM and doing your good works will be much easier and lighter.

and on a more personal note: this is not a theoretical question that will bash down Christianity to its feet! not at all!

i also like The Child's posts....

i definitely agree with you guys, thats why i always tell people " make the bible as an INSPIRATION but not as FACTS", kay some stories in the bible are almost unbelievable. Like the Tower of babel, where they say that it was the beginning of our different languages, which is not true.
