when the final 12 was chosen. i was rooting for melinda, lakisha, jordin and stephanie. it was kind of a bummer when steph was voted out.

simon said on an interview that he would quit being a judge for AI if sanjaya wins. will simon really go that far?
i saw the auditions episode when sanjaya was still trying out. i really wondered why they chose him in the first place.
now i'm rotting for melinda. she has this charm and the performance of a pro. it's true what jackson said earlier. melinda is like the young gladys knight. i agree with the one who said that lakisha is boring. yes, except for that powerful voice, lakisha lacks charm and she couldn't work up the audience much.
jordin is not far in the race though. if she picks the right songs, she'll make it far.
among the guys, the only ones i like are chris (the justin soundalike) and blake the beatboxer. however, they made poor song choices.
but to those of you who watched last season, don't you think there were better singers there than the current batch?

About Stephanie, usik gyud to siya... i don't know why wala'y ni vote for her. I would take out Sanjaya, Gina & Haley first before her. She's a bomb man unta. She's got the looks and the vocals...

Anyway, I'm hoping for Haley and Sanjaya to be booted away ASAP... they suck, really...

Melinda (top), Lakisha (a bit boring) and Jordin... my top 3... Blake is good but, not for this competition. He's not versatile enough.

blake may not be crowned AI this year but i bet he'll be given a record deal. look at what happened to daughtry and bice. they were given their own breaks after AI.
but noticeably, only kelly clarkson went on to be more popular and even won a grammy. i hope other winners do too. i'm kinda looking forward to hicks' album. i was rooting for him. i like his sound -- like michael mcdonald.
