The way I see it , both are great players no doubt. Both are clutch performers and both are champions.
Inspight of the Stark resemblance , Mannerism , they remain different. Yes they are very motivated players, hate to loose attitude, and they started achieving individually. Both eventually learned that basketball is more of a team sport than a one man wrecking crew on both the offensive and defensive end.
In time Kobe will have learned what Michael learned, Trusting team mates. Kobe has shown signs of slowly having team mates do part of the work on both ends, this is what Michael ultimately achieved making guys around him better players , and when none of em were able to get the job done, Michael dominated.
Its hard to really compare since both achieved what very few have. In time Kobe will write his own legend but for now my vote went to Michael and what he has done for Basketball.

The game of basketball will never be the same if Michael Jeffrey Jordan didn't exist.
And also, the world would've been a different atmosphere to live in had Michael Jordan never endorsed Nike.
However, it was the signing of basketball player Michael Jordan in 1984, with his subsequent promotion of Nike over the course of his storied career that proved to be one of the biggest boosts to Nike's publicity and sales.
