FYI, there were no alternative, thorough studies, traffic analysis and engineering calculations that these 2 flyovers will solve traffic-prone intersections of Cebu.

Several traffic/transportation engineering experts have made extensive engineering analysis aided with sophisticated traffic engineering software to prove that there are numerous other cost effective and better solutions to the proposed DPWH flyovers such as a combination of widening of existing roads and alternate routes, flaring of intersections, pocket lanes and sidewalk improvements.

These studies have been validated through technical presentations in various for a by peers in the industry including the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers and the Transportation Science Society of the Philippines and the United Architects of the Philippines.
