im giving my two cents worth of opinion, actually knowledge.

How did you acquire that knowledge ? I do pray and hope its not from the net lols .

They believe in God. But to what God, that is not clear. What they mentioned is the T.G.A.O.T.U or the Great Architect of the Universe.

Indeed that is the God they are talking about . The SUPREME BEING they are observing mapa MUSLIM , CATHOLIC , BUDDHIST etc which translates to ALLAH , GOD the FATHER , BUDDHA respectively .

One things for sure, they dont like the Pope, Roman Catholic priests and Roman Catholic practices. They blame the Pope for the death of Jacques De Molay, the leader of the Knights Templar believed to be the precursor of modern freemasonry. Worshipping whom they doubt as the true God seems like blasphemy to them. But some Masons are active in Church. Some even serve as lay ministers. I do not know how they reconcile their Masonic beliefs with their faith. I assume some may have intense internal struggles to reconcile both. But I see some who seems not bothered at all being a Mason and an active church worker at the same time.

- At the time of the Templars , there are too much POLITICS and POWER CHECK going on that penetrated even inside the Vatican . Thus called tha DARK AGES . Again , it is not the religion that got involved but the people behind at that time according from history .

- There is no need to reconcile because FREEMAONSRY is not a RELIGION nor BELIEF . You only have one which sis whatever religion you practice . Do you know what you are talking about ?

Freemasonry is a powerful organization. They are almost everywhere, most of them rich and influential persons. If you mess around with them, your in deep trouble because of their strong ties and their natural reaction to protect their own.
