it's far from over.
I wonder what happened to the famed Spurs defense in the third quarter. Chris Paul was attacking the lane at will and was finishing even in front of Spurs giants.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa naapil nasad ang atong nuggets sa topic bro hahahahaha ahaka mao diay napildi kay
gipaboran. kung ma champs ang lakers then i would say... THE NUGGETS LOST TO A CHAMPION TEAM
Defensively, the Spurs has been the more inferior team in the first two games. Byron Scott really scouted the Spurs very well and the Hornets has been very effective in limiting the Spurs offensively.
[1] Double team Tim Duncan and make it real hard for him
[2] Close out the paint to keep Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili from slashing
[3] Recover fast and make it hard for the outside shooters
The Hornets must have reviewed the Spurs-Suns match very well that Scott have found an answer in stopping the Spurs, limit the big 3. In game 2, the Spurs big 3 took only a total of 35 shots while Michael Finley, Bruce Bowen, and Ime Udoka had a total of 23 attempts. That's what the Hornets might want to do, keep the big 3 from taking at least 15 attempts each. Tyson Chandler outplayed Duncan in the first two games. Duncan grabbed a total of 11 rebounds while Chandler had 11 in game 2 alone.
Offensively, Chris Paul is doing a lot of damage. CP3 is twice as fast and twice as quick as Bruce Bowen and the Hornets got the Spurs flat by constantly moving with or without the ball. The Hornets kept the Spurs guessing on defense when Paul runs plays. In two games so far, Paul totalled 47 points and 25 assists. He's got Chandler in close range, David West at mid-range, and Peja Stojakovic at long range and that's a lot of weapons to deal with for the defending champs. This is a tough challenge for the Spurs heading back at their home. Stojakovic has outplayed Manu Ginobili offensively in the first two games. Peja hit 7/11 threes and finished with 47 points so far while Ginobili hit 4/14 and had only 32 points.
The Hornets were taking advantage over the Spurs poor play in the third quarter of both games. They outscored the Spurs 65-35 in the two third quarters.
i agree with what u said bro..ang kyptonite ni tim duncan mga athletic big man who can jump high and swat every possible shot that he fires... well he is not that young anymore mao cguro dili na cya ka match sa intensity sa mga younger athletic big man... and i think bruce bowen cant keep up with cp3 unless he will use his tactics hahahahaha maybe use his flying kick to the face of cp3 like what he did kang wally szcerbiak hehehehhe
One win... it will only take one win to awaken the Spurs juggernaut.![]()
dont wonder if ur talking about Duncan because he's not concern of jumping high for a block since drafted. it's front court's lapses against cp3. and that is bowen's legs. the slide is gone.Originally Posted by yokam
