    There are no shortcuts to losing weight. You still have to do it the hard way: watch what you eat + exercise 5x a week.

    It's no mystery that running burns the most calories in a given span of time, compared to every other type of exercises. However, running (as well as other aerobic-type exercises) is one exercise that must be done carefully and especially after consultation with a physician. This is just to determine if you have pre-existing heart condition that might manifest itself during vigorous routines.

    Once you get a clean bill of health, invest in a good pair of running shoes. Go to running shoes specialty store like RUNNR and have your running gait and foot type analyzed. After that, you're good to go. Just remember to start slow, progress slowly, don't be too ambitious, and stay motivated. That last advice is the hardest to follow.
