This is really confusing. Who are the true witnesses by the way? Previously, there are two witnesses for Berger-Karen case.

Witness # 1:

The policewoman said one of their witnesses was jogging in Barangay Sayaw last Wednesday around 4 a.m. to 5 a.m.

The witness reportedly saw the Filipino woman, her Caucasian companion and the other suspect.

Witness # 2:

A fisherman told the police he was on board his motor banca when he saw three persons training their flashlights near where Ellah’s body was found.

“Siguro nangita sila kon asa itagak ang lawas (Maybe they were looking for a place where to throw the body),” Macatangay said.

And now for Santos case, there are two witnesses but different persons.

The CIDG-7 banked on the testimonies of two adult witnesess, a man and a woman, who said they saw a woman and a male foreigner dump a white sack off a cliff in Barili last Feb. 8.

The witnesses said they were on their way home on a motorbike from a birthday party in Barili when they saw a Pajero slowly traversing the national road in Barili.

In their affidavit, the witnesses said they saw the Pajero stop and park beside the road near Sayaw Beach, in barangay Sayaw, Barili.

They said the male foreigner “pulled out something from the rear portion of the vehicle—a white rolled object, seemingly a size of an ordinary sack—and placed it on top of the cemented dike beside the road. A few seconds after, the said white object was dumped off to the cliff.”

One witness said he “clearly saw” the foreigner whom he described as 5'11 to 6'0 in height, firm build, fair complexion, muscular legs, wearing a black polo shirt, “Top Sider” type shoes and a a black baseball cap.

They couldn't describe his female companion because she stayed in the vehicle and was “sliding down her seat, covering her appearance.”

The two witnesses noted the vehicle's plate number which is LHJ 382.

looking back at this thread since page 1, i can assume that there were lots of people on this thread who were as stupid as those policemen who arrested and filed cases against Berger.. They are quick to judge and believed easily on whatever sh*t were thrown at them.. SOme even believed that Berger and his Gf did it!.
I cant imagine their faces right now when they learned that Berger is innocent.

yeah... a sad truth... I didn't believe it the first glance of their faces... I don't know but I'm really good at judging people of how they move... first glance of berger I already said "poor guy... "

But I can see this new suspects is the closest to real culprit. I just wonder where is the other foreigner... seems he doesn't want to show himself.

To Necrotic: I don't know what time it was when the wits. saw the guy with the sack and the Pajero, but their description of the guy and his actions was somewhat detailed... Being 75-100 feet away at the time, it just isn't feasible that it was dark outside. If there was a bright streetlight, maybe; but who would park in a well-lit area (with witnesses nearby) to dispose of a body that might link them to a series of brutal crimes?

Another point to remember is that the police sketch was based on info provided by some 7 year old kids. How much creedence can be placed on that hastily prepared drawing? And what about the earlier positive identification of Berger and his fiance, and the lic # provided by the kids? The police cannot simply disregard that info and focus on 2 or 3 new suspects and a vehicle with an entirely different plate, at least not without a great deal of explanation. My wish is that police will start with whatever forensic evidence they have recovered and work backwards from there. Go where the EVIDENCE directs you, not the other way around...

^ I agree. The following infos were being disregarded:

- previous 2 witnesses statements (as what I posted above)
- the caucasian foreigner to have tattoos (?)
- the licensed plate number reportedly to have "-679" as stated by child witnesses

An interesting note regarding license plates: I was in a parking lot in Ayala today and saw two virtually identical Honda Civics parked within 50 feet of each other. Both white, and there lic. plate numbers were only different by ONE letter (Example: ABC 123 & ADC 123).

^ Talking about the license plate, how come this plate number "LHJ 382", the alleged vehicle number according to the new witnesses doesn't exist in LTO's SMS service? Is this a ghost vehicle?

Tried texting LTO's SMS service and here's what I got

I see.. you dont know the time but, you are sure that it was during daylight hours? i don't think so.. gikan man gud ug party ang 2 witness so kasagaran tinguli gikan sa party kay gabii jud..

bitaw all we have here are just mere speculations.. huwaton lang nato ang result unya sa investigation sir. dili raba ni basta2x kay joint effort baya ni sa PNP, NBI ug unsa pato... kung masipyat pani wala na jud kabutangan sa kauwaw ang mga authoridad..

@Necrotic: I didn't say that I was "sure" about daylight or darkness. I only pointed out that the detailed description provided by the wits would indicate that there was enuf light to clearly see the guy and the vehicle from 75-100 feet away. You go outside tonight on a dark street and see how clearly someone looks from that distance if you don't believe me. See if you can clearly read the lic. plate while you're at it. That's also why I raised the question about street lights... If it was YOU that was under suspicion, maybe you, too would be concerned about those important points...
