You can only say that because dili ka victim aning mga criminals. Dili ka victim aning holdaper nga if dili nimo ihatag imo fon ug wallet, pusilon ka. I pity the victims of those bad people.

actually, yesterday how i wish vigilante will kill that "kawatan" in our subdivision. thanks to the guard who faithfully do his duties sa pagbantay sa subdivision ug nadakpan niya ang kawatan. our guard told us that this theft was really hunted by the vigilantes in cebu that's why he changed his location and do the robber in lapulapu nasad instead of cebu city. hope vigilantes will not limit in cebu city only but instead visit those neighboring cities as well.

@jugs06, I agree with your sentiment bro, but I guess for the others.. this could be their sentiment

It is hard to have a regard for life, particularly those(i.e criminal elements) who live on the expense of other lives, those who harm life to live, those who live like animals: predators hunting down prey. And for those who don't have a regard for life, much more their own(i.e drug addicts) and are a danger to themselves as much to others.

In my humble opinion, vigilantes are maybe a necessary evil, the sword of flame standing sentry before the garden, if their presence will help deter or limit criminal activities in most areas... but criminals, vigilantes these are symptoms of the widespread social cancer that our nation, our people is afflicted with. Poverty. The Poverty not so much as of possessions, but the Poverty of Moral Values. There is a majority of us that possess the wrong kind of life morals and values that need to be corrected, if ever we ever desire to live without criminals, without vigilantes. Too much of an ideal, I guess.

    ... well said diem.

to those against this vigilante killings:

please state a feasible and realistic solution to curb down the crime rate of cebu

... before these vigilante-killings came into existance, cebu was like a warzone, snatching here. holdups very rampant. the route 10H was the target of holdups. Bank robberies every month. Remember those notorious killers riding in aura motorcycles, who doesnt care about the people around them. Robbing civilians anywhere, anytime.

jugs, you dont know what you're talking about since you're not living here in cebu. you havent felt the fear we had when those criminals i mentioned are still roaming free and very confident at that. Even taxi's were not safe.

taking the lives of criminals can be a solution, as you guys here kept on pointing out.. ok, no doubt about it.. but if i were a pro-vigilante i'd review my values by then..

and just so you know, iv spent an ample amount of time in cebu so i know how it feels like.. and yes, i live in the east coast..can i compare the crime rate here with that of cebu? yes.. not the justice system though..

I've been in Davao for a year... yes, effective jud ang Davao Death Squad... minus kaau ang hold up, tulis ug rape didto... i said "minus" coz naa man gihapon. That time wala pay Vigilante sa Cebu. How i wished before nga naa pod vigilante sa ako yuta natawhan... Then finally my wish came through when I returned in cebu around 2005...

Actually... in a perfect society... I don't like people putting the law in their own hands, or being vigilante.. coz ideally I want a fair trial and sentence on those guilty persons..

But, we don't live in a perfect society.. we live in a corrupt country... and let's face it, corruption will never be eradicated... so will the Justice System be improved... That's why I believe in the Vigilante System...
