"The problem with other people is that they have a certain way of life, and they think if you don't live like them, there's something wrong with you. These self-styled liberators of women have this arrogant attitude and goes around imagining to their own fancy as to what will be the condition of women in Saudia and other Muslim countries if nobody is watching or putting pressure on them to be more civilized, and show some kindness?"

"Why should a Muslim or any other Eastern Muslim woman for that matter, dress the way an American or European woman does? I for one am not being inconvenienced by being unable to drive in public but also believe that Saudi women should be given a choice as they have in Emirates or other Arab countries. On the brighter side, If I can have someone drive me around, why should I say no? In Paris, you have to be a princess to afford a driver. Here, every woman is a princess because she has one, and for those who cannot afford one, can always ask their relatives to drive them around, after all, not every woman gets a license in western countries either. For us in Saudia, women problems are LESS compared to some hypocrite nations acting as torch bearers to the Eastern world. They themselves are home to 40 million prostitutes with 10% carrying AIDS virus & almost 4 million of them suffering from full blown AIDS. For most of the women in Saudia, problem is whether to have blue carpet in the home or green & buy BMW or BENZ. Is this what the western countries prefer to call a suffering compared to children being sold for $5 or less or worse, 50 million female fetuses getting purged of their existence while still in their mother's wombs for either unwelcome *** or cultural taboos in most....( cut )

compelling post malic...but i just can't see why muslim men can have as many wives as they can afford..cguro it's a cultural thing and i am not used to this idea..men can marry as much but women cannot..well sorry but i am ignorant of islam jd..i hope you could extend this topic more.

its called limited Polygamy sir. They can only marry four women.

I believe the the reason behind this is Mercy. If ever there are Muslims nga nagminyo ug labaw sa osa because of lust and pride, that would be wrong.


During the time of Prophet Muhammad nag minyo to siya ug daghan sir kay ang mga babaye nga iyang gi minyoan kay mga widow naman to ang oban gani or kasagaran nila mga tiguwang na. ang ilang mga bana namatay sa gubat then nalooy ang propeta nila because no one would look after them.

in my opinion i think makita ra ang answer sir if makita nato ang rate sa pagpasar sa mga muslim women in getting a license in the east in comparison to the women sa west..it's good that islam do encourage women empowerment pero still i am not fully convinced..akoa lang ni ha..pero i think there's still something amiss here..and in my opinion it should also be muslim women who should be the ones validating ilang mga kapwa muslim women in getting a license..para dli biased..kai sa akoang sabot..yes islam does seem to encourage empowerment sa mga women pero i think dli jd fully..i don't have proof pero mao nai akong gut feeling..

aaahh i see so for security purposes..pero sir kinahanglan ba jd nga minyoan ni muhammad ning mga tiguwang nga widows? if ang iyang sole purpose is to help look after them..i mean surely muhammad has all the means to watch over these poor widowed women and he doesn't have to actually marry them?..kinahanglan ba jd maminyo ang usa ka muslim woman if ma separated sya or ma biyuda?..what if she can fend for herself?..and doesn't need any man to support her?..naa bai mga negative social implications kng ang usa ka muslim woman dli muminyo ug usab?..even if she doesn't need support to a man?..is there a choice sir malic if a widowed or separated muslim woman not to marry when she has the capacity to fend/take care for herself?
