in my personal opinion, ben malayang wants Silliman to be like UP, also his alma mater nga opinionated ug liberated ang mga students pero naa pud control ug authority nga gi respetar.. bisan unsa oras pwede mo mag rally diha basta ayaw lang violate sa school policies, dili ra mo ma kick-out

It was more than simple graffiti or Art -- it was one of those things that we identified as part of Silliman's legacy.

US Library of Congress Explores Expanding Partnership with Silliman
The Library of Congress expressed interest in strengthening collaborating with Silliman University in the area of resource sharing.
Country Representative Dr. Julianita Abas visited the University on September 8 and 9 to explore how Silliman and the Library can help expand the reach of research works and other cultural and historical publications to international scholars, including Filipinos in the United States . A key item in the discussion is the possibility of preserving certain archival materials in the University either through digitization or microfilm.
Silliman has a rich collection of archival materials at the Robert B. and Metta J. Silliman Library. Being the oldest American educational institution in the Philippines established in 1901, the University has accumulated several documents on personal accounts of Filipinos and Americans of their respective experiences, especially during the American occupation.
Silliman's running partnership with the Library is on exchange of publications. Among those regularly submitted to the Library is the Silliman Journal, which is included on the prestigious Reuters Master Journal (ISI) List and topped the list of 13 accredited journals in the country by the Commission on Higher Education.
