    question bro, still about idolatry:

Do most RCC members knew when this idol veneration originated?

    very useful information here.....
What Did the Early Church Teach About Idols and Icons?

Notice that even Roman Catholic scholars know that the early church was against idols and images and that the reason given to accept them appears to contradict the Bible:

"Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God," etc.

It also explains the fact that in the first ages of Christianity, when converts from paganism were so numerous, and the impression of idol-worship was so fresh, the Church found it advisable not to permit the development of this cult of images; but later, when that danger had disappeared, when Christian traditions and Christian instinct had gained strength, the cult developed more freely.

Break, kapila naman na natubag ang images. Ark of the Covenant= Statues. People bowed down to it. Solomon's temple is filled with iamges. Early Christians had images all over the catacombs.

And remember Moses' bronze snake? Break, I thought you were a bible guy. It's all in the bible. So you mean that Moses worshiped idols?

"So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived." -Numbers 21:9

Yes i know those passages but lahi sad inyong pagsabot ana, and it does not suggest veneration, bend your knee, praying to it, etc.

Aside from it, my question about praying, bowing to saints is...do you know its origins?

Please take time to read the link i shared bro if youre free.....

They did bow down to the Ark. And isn't looking at the bronze snake similar as those people who look at miraculous images? So is Moses a idolater?

it's a kind of celebration, parihas anang mag birthday imong anak, wala may guidelines ug nakasuwat or balaod kong mag unsa mo anang adlawa, but naandan na sa mga taw nga maghikay mag party ug mag lipay2 to commemorate the celebrant.. it is not in some way biblical, so is it wrong? no we dont think so..
