@break You hide your arguments as a friendly discussion but in the end it always leads to RCC and Pope bashing. That's what I have observed.

So meaning naa ra gyud diay na sa individual to do so or not... Will that be considered idolatry too? I've seen these people put on rings and watches on these images... My gut feeling makes me feel that it's just not right. But of course I can't voice that out to them directly.

I do understand how you feel. Placing watches on Saints and dressing up the Sto. Nino in cops costume and all is also not my cup of tea. Some individuals do misinterpret the veneration of saints and masobrahan ra. But it's not in the teachings of the Catholic church to worship them. As explained earlier mura ra nag naa kay picture sa imo loved one. Diba naa sad tay picture sa presidente and statues and portraits of heroes? Mao sad na sa santo. As a reminder. Not to be worshiped.

yes, if you have mature faith.you may call that idolatry

but just as when we are young, our mother allows us to worship irrelevant things like hello kitty, bruse wayne | Batman on my part

but as we grow up, our parents enlighten to what is right

and that's what most priest, now is doing as response to the 2nd Vatican Council

specially in the Philippines after 400 years of Spanish rule

wherein most assigned priest here, then were unscrupulous in character ( padre damaso stereotypes and copycats )

inculcating fear thru misbeliefs of superstition to hold the neck of the populace.

twisting Real RCC doctrines for their personal gains which had become church dogmas for the little ones.
