this may sound not good to others but i guess for me, could be logical though to be cited as an example.

how can mary pray for you when she's up in heaven living her eternal life? you have to remember, when you die and you'll be brought to heaven, all your connections with your physical life will be cut off... why do you think we don't ask our Lolos, Lolas, cousins, aunties and uncles who are dead to pray for us?

and that's not the only prayer that you pray to Mary... do not cut it off...

I have heard your priest lead people to say... Mary, pray for us... have mercy on our souls... St. Joseph lead us to Jesus, have mercy on our souls...

Only God can grant mercy on your souls... not them saints, not Mary, not priests not your pope...

i understand your point bro... and you are right the bible did not say it so.
however, i can't anymore explain to you why we Catholics do this, i just followed it on faith...
although most of the time i prayed alone i prayed directly to Jesus... it's only when i joined my family praying together that we (shall i say) course thru our prayers thu Mary and the Saints...

I grew up with a Catholic father and a Born again mother, when I grew up, I have only followed my mom because she said it was the faith that we were supposed to follow... but when I grew up, after falling down so many times real hard, God opened my eyes and He made known to me the true meaning of faith...

I'm happy that you're devoted with your faith because you love your family and they have brought you up with that faith... I'll just pray for you that your eyes will be opened just like mine and see the true meaning of faith in Christ...

that's the problem bro, you were made to think that because Mary bore Jesus into this world, that she is more powerful and can convince Jesus to change His mind about things... Mary was just a vessel for Jesus to come to earth as a man... that's why Jesus wasn't concieved sexually but God himself placed the seed and had mary carry Jesus.

Remember when Jesus to turned the water into wine? He called mary "woman" to let mary know that as Jesus Christ, as the son of God, you are not my mother but a mere vessel and you have no right to command me...

the verse never said bro nga "No one goes to the Father except through Me(Jesus) and no one goes through me except through Mary and the saints..." I don't think the bible said that bro... correct me if I am wrong...

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." no one else bro, not Mary, not the saints, not the pope, not the pastors but ONLY Jesus Christ ALONE...

Now, you might say nga, I'm trying to shove this down your throat... then I will not apologize bro, because I am trying my very best to let you understand what the basic thing here is... I can sight many verses but all these verses will just say one thing... do not ask anyone else when you pray, because there is only one that you can expect the reply from... that would be Jesus...

Grabe na ka clear. sus meo ang uban diha pagka gahe sa ulo.. ambot lang. asa kaha sila nakabasa or nakakuha ana ilang idea about images, santos ug uban pa..... why man jud mo liko man jud sila sa mga images ug santos when naa si Jesus Christ, clear kaau na sa Bible ha... Tubag ra gud mo.. sus meo!
