Sa nabasahan nako nga news article bro.....Cebu is at the top when it comes to international conventions....while second only to manila for local/national conventions......

I don't think it will become a white elephant. There are other conventions that are scheduled to be conducted on the CICC. Just like the PICC when it was first constructed, daghan ang ni-ingon nga dili gyud magamit, pero after so many years, can we now say that it was a white elephant? Like the PICC, CICC will become more than just a convention center it will also be a tourist spot. It is only fitting that Cebu has the CICC as it was the topnotcher for Local and National conventions, now we can finally have international conventions here.

kung pasabot nimo na ni-book ka online nya na confirm imong reservation ug price (labi na kung nakadeposit na ka), unya gi-taas sa hotel ang rate pag-abot nimo, nailad gyud ka sa hotel, pero pwede nimo sila i-kiha o i-reklamo sa DTI......

pero kung nag check ka lang sa presyo online pero wala ka mo book, unya pag-abot nimo taas na ang presyo, wala ka mailad ka'y wala man ka'y kontrata sa hotel....

in truth kanang vehicle rental service ex. coaster, van, car is also seasonal in price fluctation. Wala pa gyud ko kita ug anang negosyo nga fixed rate ra kay pareha sa hotel/lodging business dili man steady sa usa ka tuig ang gastos sa gas, ang kadaghanon sa customers dili sab steady. Ang exception ra ani kay ang mga public utility vehicles nga under sa ltfrb nga fixed ang rate per kilometer kanang jeep ug taxi where kinahanglan pa sila ug petition/moratorium para mag ilis ug rate, while ang kanang car rental service di-contrata man na ang agreement sa customer ug establishment nga "kung kani nga rate per hour ang gi agree mao tumanon".

hotels don't have fixed rates, they have what they call rack rates but is rarely used because a lot of its rates are negotiated and varies from different companies.
