don't you think kobe have his own support? lamar, pau, sasha and fisher, they are best fit to be the teammates of kobe. well, as i said before, kobe haven't experience the jordan rule because of the HAND CHECKING and the DEFENSIVE THREE SECOND RULES!

and fact, kobe has his own triangle offense too...

well for kobe to be consistently in the all defensive team almost every year, WITHOUT the HAND CHECKING rule, that's something!

today's defense requires more skill, intuition and stamina, you move your feet rather than relying on your hand to guard your man.

on the defensive part, kobe has to play harder, i agree! getting the DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR award these seasons are far more difficult than on the jordan era. but during when MJ won the said award, he also lead the league in scoring. MJ didn't lose his scoring will while doing defense on the other end!

Hill, Finley, Carter, Stackhouse, McGrady and Bryant. these players have skills of a MJ but between those players i think Kobe has an edge over them because he is more aggressive and more intense...

both these players suffer extreme injury except for kobe, who's injury is just minimal. but MJ suffer too an injury that unable him play his 2nd year almost the whole season but when he came back he scored tremendously! unlike this players that came to an injury, their style of playing became slower and i think they are afraid to become injured again and loss their career...
