Again lets deal the idea of whats close to being in paradise.
This is where I am focusing, and for the enjoyment of some, the discussion is open.

RECESSION - in the Philippines this is not a news, this is a NORM. Therefore, no future.

To someone who mentioned that the US economy if "far from what its been", therefore, it was once a paradise, the catch? It can recover. VERSUS Philippines, "NO MAS"

Health Insurance? What about? In Canada and in England, EVERYONE gets to be treated by their illness and as they are about to be discharged from the Hospital, they go to the Hospital's CASHIER- to redeem their medicine (free) and most of the time they get CASH (yes, the patient are the ones who takes cash from the Hospital's cahier as disbursement for their future medication that was prescribed ) In America, if you loss your job or you dont have a job, there is PUBLIC AID - it entails FREE HOUSING, EDUCATION, FOOD, MEDICINE...What more can you ask?
In the PHILIPPINES - noneda, no insurance, no public aid, nothing free- Worse if you dont have any deposit before your hospitalization stay, they kcik you in the curve. DO THAT IN AMERICA- you will be a Multi millionaire in a year. Law Suit-BIG TIME!

What does got a Car dealership do with your Purchased Vehicle? Be if they closed or Open?
Why? they key will not fit in the ignition? or the car wont start? or the wheels got locked?
    I-DONT-UNDERSTAND.
Once you took the vehicle out from the dealers lot - the Bank takes over the payment? not your Car Dealer?
Your EMPATHY to your Car Salesman strikes a BIG cord. Is he your relatives? Or significant others?
BELIEVE me, salesman ( in any shape or form) does not care about you, all they care is the sales they make. And if they received pink slips? Too bad, but thats LIFE in general anyways. SHIT happens.

May not be Paradise - But close to Paradise.

Philippines? One hell of a place to call paradise.

People commit suicide - Statistics shows, suicide case did not increase since 30 years, its in the NEWS because the MEDIA sensationalized it.
In the Philippines - people kill to survive. Is this Paradise to you?

AMERICA is close to being in "Paradise" (term used by the author)
Philippines- I dont know, What do you think?

This is the Root of the Discussion. This is my story and i'll stick to it.

wow, engun ana najud diay ka hopeless ang PILIPINAS?

jennesse: nope, the car salesman is of no relation to me. But the Dodge dealership where he works has always taken care of me and my needs. I've always gotten excellent service from them. And this dealership has been in business since the 1950's, and for it to close now, is really quite sad. When you say SHIT happens, tough luck, I ask you...does SHIT happen in paradise? Hahahaha! Paradise man kaha imong tan-aw dire.

wow... i couldn't have said it better. thanks for that statement. that really summarizes everything up.

jennesse, hope you've read Usahay's statement. it totally describes what you feel right now. no offense but it's obvious. ^_^

you talk like that sort of thing doesn't happen in America. you must be living in the American mountains.

live in the city and come back here 5 years later, then tell me what you find.

people kill here for survival. yup, in this great nation of America.

paradise for me is to work in my country, and atleast give it a chance to grow, and recover. if i were to work abroad, il make sure that my savings is invested in the Philippines.

To tell the TRUTH is no delusion at all.
Believing that Philippines is better than AMERICA? Well thats BIG DELUSION.
My family and everybody that I know is so elated for all things that had happened to me in the past weeks. THIS IS REALITY AT ITS BEST.

dont get me wrong, i would love to be back in the Philippines all because thats my country of origin, and most of my friends and family are still there....(i would set aside the fact that i will visit soon the property that i am going to purchase for myself ...like a vaction home perhaps..,.) but I long to come back in AMERICA who gives me the chance to practice my profession and pay me what THEY believe i am due for.

I would guarantee you, in less than 5 years I have no problem seeing myself owning a HOUSE, out of my hard earned money, not from my parents, nor from anybody. This is not delusion. If the BANK, (literally in the flesh) will sit down on your and throw you the possibilities, thats not delusion.... I am already driving my CAMRY in less than a month? Where can you find that in the PHILIPPINES?
And oh by the way its 0 DOWN, 0 interest rate, its in the fine print for 60 whole months.

90% of the housing in the PHILIPPINES are purchased cashed (not loan) by people who has the access abroad.

well, don't get me wrong. i'm not saying that's what you're gonna be after 5 years; all i'm saying is, that's what you're gonna end up being if you don't know how to manage your finances. after all, how can it be paradise when you're broke? since all you blab about is material things and money anyway.

your formula for paradise is this ----> SUCCESS + MONEY = PARADISE.
i can't blame you, since majority of Filipinos think that way.

but then again, all i think when paradise comes to mind is the fact that i can live comfortably with my loved ones and not worry about my finances. not worrying about finances entails not living beyond my means. buying a house? pfft.. if i can't afford it then i won't buy it. if you can afford it, then by all means go for it.

so you're already driving your '89 Camry in less than a month? good for you. ^_^

Well Whatever year my "New" (this is your clue) Hybrid Camry is, thats up to me, but I got it in less than a month all i did was to show my paystub. PRE DRIVEN CARS dont offer 0 (zero) down and 0 (zero) interest.... Z-E-R-O!!! READ that. And I am paying it from my own pocket, insurance and maintenance, not from my parents, nor from my spouse.

I can sense that you dont need to be in the same place to know the same knowledge, obviously there are still ignorance in your intellect.

PS. Stop breathing on my neck. It take to be where I am to UNDERSTAND where I am going. PFFT! No offense but you're obviously not on my level.
