the good-- more tourist more income for hotels, ressort and girls with foreigners bf.

The bad--- hotels rate inreases, prices of exported goods increases ,balikbayans became victims of thse abusive hotels and resorts.

The Ugly--when dollar increases in value, hotels and resorts increases their rates but when peso increases its value hotel and resort rates
remains constant.Since most hotels and resorts here in cebu were owned by foreigners;,Abusive foreigners were taking
    advantage of their fellow foreigners.

Depends on your definition of 'rude' If you see one breaking the law, go straight to the police and report him and have him prosecuted, the same as any other country If he did'nt smile back at you or refused to let you sit beside him in Starbucks it's not an offence. I don't know if actuially being rude is against the law anywhere in the world!! If he has been rude to you or unpolite in anyway just call him an 'a$$hole'

What are the circumstances you are talking about?

How do you propose to impose proper rule and discipline on tourists? This is a genuine question. I've been to the Philippines a couple of times and i've never seen or met any rude 'foreigner' types. No foreigners have jumped in front of me while I stand in a queue at a bank or a supermarket. The problem is there are rude people in this world from every country . I'm sure if tourists are rude in your country they are probably rude in their own country, there is not much you can do but smile and walk the other way.

Do you propose a class for tourists as they arrive in the country and tell them not to be rude to the locals? When i visit your country, or any other country i am on my best behaviour as I suspect most tourists are, I act in your country the same way I act in my own as do most tourists. There will be a few exceptions as always. What do you propose to do to someone who does not smile back at you, deport them?

there is no need to impose stricter rules for tourists...just treating our laws the same way for locals.
