Imo, ONE reason why people want to keep a band underground MIGHT be because dili sila ganahan na daghan makaila sa katung specific na banda. Because if daghan na makaila, katong uban na sakay2x lang bisan dili jud nila trip will probably just use the band to "look" cool. Naa man jud na perme mga klase na tao sa bisan unsa na scene pero para tingali ma-minimize mao na ang uban dili ganahan mu-mainstream ilang favorite band/s...

Peroang pinaka-common reason usually sa mga banda na dili ganahan mu-mainstream kay tungod sa "artistic freedom". A lot of artists probably want to be backed up by a major label but ONE of the reason why they still go underground is the fear that once they get signed, they are forced to do what the label orders them.
