Saw the movie yesterday too; Great Movie & Great Acting. I just cant believe how they portray such emotion to Kong's Face & especially his eyes.
its ok. i think they went overboard with the creatures though. it's like a creature films rolled into one.
jurassic park
bat
tremors
and etc
aside from that it's good
finally saw it yesterday..the dinasour scene was great..but there are these questions that lingers on my mind until now..
- how did a 10+ crew managed to load a 20+ TON unconscious GORILLA into their ship?
- how could a dilapidated and leaky boat able to transport such heavy crew?
- after NAOMI WATT's long period of running in the jungle, ecountering a T-REX and KONG's insensate
playing with her, how come she only had bruises on her face on the last part of the film?
anywayz..looking forward to the next PJ installment..2 thumbs up!
yeah, I was like waiting for the scene after they finally subdued king kong, on how they're gonna load the gorilla.Originally Posted by tolstoi

I had the same question before on Gollum in LOTR.Originally Posted by Spec-V
Then, I remember, at one point in time, the digital people at The Orphanage claimed that the competition over "textures" was all done, with its work on a Mexican film. Even the later release of Fox 2000 Digital in Australia on the "Matrix" trilogy was still struggling over "texture", in particular the hair and the creases of the windbreaker of the digital dupe of the protagonist. And came Gollum of the LOTR at WETA.
Gollum's hair, skin, eyes and frowns --- all had real life reflections. Only to be told later that Gollum was portrayed by an actor in green tracers and close-up. The same with King Kong --- its close-ups and medium greens were shot using real actor named Andy Serkis (sic) --- live-action plates were composited with pure digitals and digitals of models and close-ups of animatronics [like King Kong's hands on which lay Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) at the time Driscol (Adrien Brody) was coming for her].
It looks like here that Peter Jackson's WETA excels over ILM, The Orphanage, Scott Free and many other digital houses in live action - digital composites. And I did not wonder why this "King Kong" had a long endcredit list of composite artists.
I think both WETA and ILM are just the best..
we can't deny the fact ILM engineers produced one of the best VFX..
define awesomeness...
awsomeness = King Kong esp. Kong vs. 3 T-rex.![]()
though the scene where kong plays in the snow, was... weird.. but it was a nice touch
