At least kung maglain2x imong amp, u can make adjustments sa tone levels niya. the cheaper guitar amps like Peavey for example, medyo taas ug high and high mid while ang Marshall medyo baga ug sound. Ang pinaka-close lang na tone gyud if you're not using your amp (and do this nga walay effects ug hinay gamay nga volume).
kinsa man gud ning kusog manghulam ug instrumento ba kung naay gig? hehe murag guilty man mi hehehehe... pero kung dili pa hulmon ok ra man pod mi dili man mi mamugos..Originally Posted by stabwounds

@necrotic freak: Hehe, wala mi nang-igo diri bai ha... Okay raman ang manghuwam k makasabot ta na dili tanan makapalit ug instrumento pro like I said, dili pud mabasol ang banda na dili magpahuwam labe na kung dili kaila k ang uban manghuwamay k malmal mugamit...
sakto.
I agree with sir Ezra. Bring your own amp, IF YOU CAN. If not, ayaw nalang reklamo sa house amp. Ako bisan dili ko sapian, I bring my own amp kay kapoy cge timpla sa imo sound nya usually raba, wala nakay time to do that. Di na ka "inspired" to play; nag antus nalang ka the whole time your playing, which is totally against why we are doing this (unless naay taw dinha doing this for the money, solely).

@znai: hahahah my taste may be not as high as yours, and I MEANT years...hehehe if i was rich like some bands out there, i could have my own studio already by now.bwahahaha
anyway, if you have the means, go ahead bring your amp. It's your sound anyway.
Well, tone depends on your hands and ears, the more experienced your ears get and the more you play, you'll figure out your tone. Bisag crappy pa au na ang amp.
I've seen urbandub and the ambassadors do that in mayrics. And mind you, mayric's has effin crappy gear..much worse pa diri. lata jud.
And i saw a manila band bring their own stuff...amps, drums, everything. Abi jud nmu rockstar jud cla...and they sound just like any amateur band you see here in cebu. Walay klaro sa levels. The guitars don't rise above the mix. Yabo pajud pastilan.hehehe
SO, the best gear is experience dudes.hehehe
nahh.. naa jd ko experience ana... ang amp hinaw ug power.. mag hum jd sa akong MT bsan unsaon ug adjust... haaaaiii minus nuon kaau kay dugay nka sugod
I agree... it's not gear really although naa gyud ang advantage. The same sa kanang question that I'm sometimes asked "unsay nindot nga studio..." There isn't any bad or good. You just have to know exactly what you want to happen when you're there. So on stage, you just have to know what sound you are expecting.Originally Posted by anarki
Oh I'd like to add... about Urbandub. Sakto gyud because if you noticed they don't bring amps. But Lalay always get the sound of the bass right and so is the rest of the guys. They know what they want to hear and they know what to do with it. Skill man gyud na.
On another note, sa una guilty pud ko anang hulam2x... true. Then katong nana koy guitar, dili ako maoy naka-tukar ug una sa live namo nga set kay gihuwaman ug lain then di ko kabalibad kay hasta man ako before ko naka-gitara tig huwam man koMarisi... but through the years I've learned to say "no".
