I've been watching movies more than playing games on the PSP. None of the games coming out (save for some RPG's) really excite me too much, been playing Tales of Eternia, but it feels like I've played the same type of RPG's on consoles over the last 5 years, ugh . Oh well, at least Lumines is still wicked fun. Harvest Moon should be great too once it's out.

Sony's been limiting PSP videos to 320 x 240, which really reduces video quality on the gorgeous screen, if you want to play vids on full res. (480x272), check out the PMP Player :

You'll need to re-encode the vides to its PMP format but its worth it, movies look a lot better with the full res. used.

aljoriz : sure, but I won't be getting one til the Lite comes out . Might just import one if I can't wait for it to get here. Heh.

Does any1 knows when will the harvest moon for PSP will be released?? I saw the pics from the demo and its way cool and better then the PS and GCube versions.. wahhh you have your own ATV as you method of traveling!!! wahhh!!!!!

tried both, DS and PSP, and also Hacking both.

if you want to ask me straight i'd go for the DS. specially the DS lite.
Hacking the PSP is now turning to be more complicated specially when you buy the new firmware version PSP's.

I'm a gamer since 4, played lots of games(PC,console,Arcades,Portables,cellphones) and made some too.
and because of that, its a disadvantage in gaming taste, i easily get bored and critisize games because of my high taste is gaming, but not on the DS
its a console where you can do things you've never done before. and note that ive tried both units. gamers need new games that are not been there done that.

The GRAPHICS doesnt make the game, always remember that and thats what the DS is.

PSP is now slowly turning to be the 13th handheld to ever bite the dust competing nintendo.

here is why i like DS

these are some features.

the DS can now play movies,MP3's,portable Television!!!, type texts, PDA like functions, Day Planner,MSPaint capabilities, Alarm clock,Month Planner, Picture Viewer, OS capabilities, Web Browsing, many different and safe ways to hack. and lots of games that would fit in just a 1Gig Flash Memory. play classic games like, NES,famicom, game boy, gameboy color, and backward compatibility to GBA. and lots of very innovative games and still counting.

not to mention the upcoming DS-linux. and DS-browser. and a very huge population of Homebrew and hack scene.

I like PSP but thats because they have MGS portable ops in which I really like to play.

yeah, innovative jud ang DS.

lingaw kaayo mag-tinker2x sa screen using the stylus... then storya2x using microphone
taas2x pud ug battery life... then sa imong 2GB na micro SD kay daghan kaayo masulod na games plus other media pa gyud.
i have about 30 games in my DS then i have 1GB free space pa then dili kaayo ko pirmi magcharge kay dugay ma-lowbatt

for me psp still outweighs ds...not to mention its great games like crisis core and kh:birth by sleep

mostly NDS are for Kids then adult are for PSP... PSP are more cool games...

It's all really up to the individuals. If you fancy innovative gameplay then go for the DS. If you fancy for ps2-like graphics then go for the PSP.

If you're going to observe gamers here in Cebu, you can really tell na daghan kaayo diri...PSP owners than the DS.
