Wow! Slovenia just blew a 12 point lead in the last 2:30 mins of the game. What have they been thinking?
Greece rules! But at least for now... hehe, I still don't think they can get past Spain... But they'll have a
shot at 3rd place though, and on to the Olympics again, rematch with the United States... Hehe...

Greece just taught us a valuable lesson : " It ain't over till the fat lady sings! "

the quarter-finals are all good... Lithuinia vs Croatia and Greece vs Slovenia... I feel bad for croatia and slovenia, both are good teams..

Spain and Russia advance to the finals. Andrei Kirilenko single-handedly carried Russia in an improbable win over Lithuania. The winner between the Greece-Lithuania game is the second team from Europe to advance to the Olympics considering that Spain is already automatically qualified. Win or lose, both Spain and Russia have already qualified for the Olympics.

In the 5th-8th classification phase, Croatia and Germany's hope for an Olympics slot is still alive. Croatia defeated France while Germany defeated the erstwhile Eurobasket 2007 powerhouse Slovenia. The loss was Slovenia's second straight after contesting Lithuania for being the only undefeated clubs in the eliminations and in the quarterfinals. Things change so fast in FIBA Europe.
