TS first of all, REGGAE is a genre, any musician who loves and knows the genre can play it even without dreads.

and people with locks DO and CAN take a bath while there are people without dreads who do not take a bath as well
in other words, dreadlocks has no relation with not taking a bath.. (some people esp the ones who are not familiar with the hairstyle overly assume that people with dreads do not taka a bath because of how the locks closely resemble with the "taong grasa" hair do) Lol

if ever you know people who wore dreadlocks that doesn't take a bath then ila ra nang choice...

i grew locks for 5 and a half years...i take a bath often if not everyday
the only reason why naay times nga mga half bath ko instead of a full shower
'cause bug-at akong buhok when it gets wet...
again, no relation with "reggae music or dreadlocks" ang not taking a bath.
