Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?
i have varied tastes for music, just like food. gothic music doesn't just talk about death and anything dark or morbid. it also talks about other things like love and happiness. it only takes a keen listening pair of ears to realize that some have positive lyrics. the edgy guitars, the dramatic orchestration and the operatic singing (in some bands) are facades, which for me, makes the genre more interesting.Originally Posted by balut_man

It is indeed goth for such a happy song from "The sound of Music" becomes "nigtmarish". There was a part which you can hear a xylophone being played. It seemed played innocently but creepy. I think they are Pinoy band but I'm not sure about that.
Yeah... the late Isabel is a pretty interesting pinoy goth band...
Their influences are the queer, bauhaus and other old-school goth bands o_O
Um...
If you want something more modern, try out these bands:
>Lacuna coil- goth metal. VERY interesting band with great vocals
>Hatemail- Cebuano metal band. Sounds alot like cradle of filth
>nightwish- mix of goth and opera
>the gathering
>pretty girls make graves
from your list, these are the only ones i've heard so far.Originally Posted by fishstix
