Most Distributors that are in Manila can access the Dealers/Resellers by land eliminating the cost of freight. For enthusiasts nga kamao gyud mu pali it may be ok for them to buy from manila because they know how to assimilate their PC themselves but for those nga dili kaayo gifted sa hardware, mag labad gyud na ilung ulo if they get from the outside wala man sila madaganan kung mag problema.
I for one would prefer to buy my items locally even, not just in the PC department but also most host hold appliances, LIke LCD TV, Microwave, etc.. para kung maguba ma ka complain ko dayun and mailisan nila or ma warranty.
Mu depend gyud na how badly you need the part and your level of skills to use that part. But for me, even with the skills, if all your items (eg mobo, mem, proc, hd etc..) were bought in manila and mamatay lang kalit ang tanan at the same time you will feel more than a pinch in the head and the walletSadly, I have Been there and done that
