some 10,000 farmers marched to ask then President Corazon Aquino to make good on her promise to implement a genuine agrarian reform program.
10,000 againts what? 500 anti riot forces? i see now how they are so nervous that time

A passionate Tadeo was quoted in reports as saying: “inalis namin ang barikada bilang kahilingan ng ating Presidente, pero kinakailangan alisin din niya ang barikada sa Mendiola sapagkat bubutasin din namin iyon at dadanak ang dugo. ”
adding this more tension to the government force.

Bong, now 43, said he was a student of the University of the Philippines in Los Baños (UPLB) when he joined Southern Luzon activists in going to Mendiola, where rallyists from different parts of the country were calling for "genuine land reform."
i see a student sponsored from the state and a well known communist hub (dont deny guys) is with the numbers rallying.

my point here. tanan nagkasala. care to change my prospective about this?

OT: When one becomes the most powerful person (president) of the nation, wouldn't you use all the resources available to you and your position to find out the truth- in this case the truth about who could have killed your father (or husband in the case of Cory)? Or could it be that the truth is already known and it is decided to be best kept untold.
Am not into any conspiracy thing here, just wondering for if i were in the same place and in the same situation, i'd have gone to the bottom of things and either made the expose or accept that the mastermind can never be known, but not keep the story hanging. But that would be because i have nothing to hide.

OnT: in the same breadth, doesn't the president have the resources to get to the bottom of this mendiola massacre thing or any of the political killings and punish the perpetrators? Or is this also best left hidden or forgotten.

You can see it that way, but the root cause is still the demand for genuine land reform, one which up to now, after so long remains an issue with the farmers and the hacienderos.

no really. my issue alone is all about the incident. not the land reform.

No amount of pretense will hide your bias. Next time don't one-line post and brush aside a massacre because it might cast negative light on the yellow camp. Fanboyism is bringing this country down...

Last two individuals also 100% supported the "Daang Matuwid". We should then expect convictions in Pnoy's term or else people in this country will expect the same fate happened by the casualties of this massacre.

If only now-defunct Truth Commission wasn't unconstitutional and not centered only to prosecute GMA and her minions, this agency is really needed to be formed. The 50 million yearly budget should be placed here not just prosecuting cyber crimes.
