Been using it recently (thanks to vern for the invite). One thing I like about it is, in its default state it already has a circle named "Acquaintances", a term which I always favored over "friends" when talking about contacts on the 'net. I've always thought that (and take note what I'm about to say is NOT a feature of Google+, but just my way of seeing things) if you see yourself as an individual on the net and want to "connect" with someone, that someone, regardless if a relative, friend, acquaintance, employer, or client, will always initially be labelled a CONTACT. And thus for me the "Acquaintance" circle of Google+ is a good "temp" storage location for people you haven't decided which specific circle to place into. It makes sense because the term "friend" is actually more intimate in real life than how it has been used since the beginning of social apps on the web. Might write my own personal review of Google+ as a blog entry here soon, when I get the time.

You can actually do the same with Facebook. All you need to do is simply "Create a list" and name it "Acquaintances" or some name that separates that group of people from your actual "Friends".

Automatic siya if you created a "Google Profile" (which is a separate Google feature that has been around) and perviously put personal information there. The good thing is, you can of course always tweak the privacy settings once your Google+ account has been set up.

after mark zuckerberg joined google+ he launched videocalling in facebook...pretty wise move but not good enough coz you can only have a one on one videocall per person unlike in google+ wherein you could videochat with up to 10 people by using the "hangout" app...

Nasulti niya sir nga 'in its default state'. Buot pasabot nga dili unta angay iterm nga 'friends' like in what other sociosites has been doing. It's a cliché. Ang katong friends nimo, kato gyung imong nasuod, nakaila. Mas aprub ug prefereable ko atong 'acquaintances' like imo ra nailhan sa party, etc. I dunno if ang facebook nakahuna-huna ani nga idea sa contacts.

Sorry, I missed the default part. But yeah, you are correct, ang Facebook kay "friends" ra unless you create a list. Masabot raman pud kay ang FB is more like a "social hangout" so the term "friend" doesn't really mean a lot. Whereas sa Google+ it's more like getting to know you at a personal level.

    Good for advertisers.
