from what i've been hearing lately, the term bisrock is slowly equating to novelty bisaya rock songs. as one member posted here, lyrics that are funny but does not amount to anything. it's time to get out of the Yoyoy Villame, Max Surban stereotyping and take things a little more serious.
It's time to teach the "masa" how to think.
How do you expect their tastes to improve when people keep feeding them the same thing?
I admire bands such as Shiela and the Insects, Power Spoonz, Fastpitch, Urban Dub and Missing Filemon who in their own way are showing people that Bisrock is more than just novelty.

While the two maybe an integral part of Visayan music, it's high time we move on. It's time to show people the Visayan musician can do more than just novelty acts.

Nothing wrong with novelty...
There's nothing wrong with novelty music. But it seems wrong if everything sounded novelty. Novelty is supposed to be novel... It's like eating cake... If you eat cake for dessert, it's yummy. If you eat cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you would probably want to throw up. As the saying goes, you can't eat your cake (for dessert) and have it (for breakfast, lunch and dinner)... better audio mixing and engineering para dili lata og tingog unya kanang mgpa bokalista2x nga yabag pahawaa para di mo samot og degrade.. unya make original songs dili man rip lang o mg revive..
