and to add, it is a FACT that in almost all breeds, females are indeed smaller in size than their male counterparts.

He is not a litter runt... all his littermates are also smaller than the female standard minipin that belongs to my cousin... I personally saw the dam and sire of my cousin's MICRO mini pin and they are smaller compared to the STANDARD mini pin... Kung MICRO amo tawag anang gagmay nga mini pin, sayop ba gud na? Lain man sad og among tawgon nga POTOT or DUWENDE mini pin diba?

Yes pwerting DAKOA na sayop . You started calling them MICRO because youve heard other BOGUS PEOPLE also calling them MICRO when in fact dili siya MICRO .

Bottomline , di gani siya maka meet sa BREED STANDARD , it is a RUNT and its NOT a MICRO either . Just because normal ang DAM and SIRE doesnt make them MICRO because they are not a RUNT .

Cant you just call them MINIPINS ? That is ok ... pero the moment you sell them , never sya its a MICRO MINIPIN lol .

yes i understand that there should be great regards in preserving the standards of a breed...any debate on the whether to call a standard deviant MINIPIN "Micro" would absolutely be off, for the thought that it is still a MINIPIN....but why are we so close minded here.?try to consider the evolution of the AMERICAN BULLY BREEd...it definitely came from the standard APBT, but as time went by, breeders tried to focus there breeding on the built of a bully...precisely the reason why, they tried to preserve those that are low n wide n other feature that they are looking for a bully...u

Kay ngano diayg tawagon namog MICRO ang gagmay nga Minipin? I believe there is no law that prevents us from doing so, am I right? OR AM I RIGHT? Ngano closed minded man kaayo atong mod diri nga dili man jud na ikalimod nga naa man juy ubang Minipin nga gamay kaysa normal or standard nga minipin? Just accept the fact that there are smaller sized minpins out there and the MASSES are calling them MICROs. Kung sayop sa imong pamati then there is nothing I can do about that. Just don't call everyone who labels their minpins MICRO, Bogus sellers or whatnots! Unya ang mga igsoon sa laki puros pud gagmay hastang iya mga ginikanan. Pwede diay na tawgon ang whole litter nga puros IHID kay puros sila gagmay? Hehehe! Appearance

The miniature pinscher is a working breed and not a toy dog, per se. Buyers should also be aware that there is no such dog as a "teacup" or "pocket" Min Pin: These are simply terms that certain breeders use to increase interest in their dogs (and sometimes the price). The miniature Pinscher also tends to have very long legs and a small body, which can sometimes make it look quite comical with cat-like grace. As a result of its flexible, agile body, a Miniature Pinscher is able to curl up in almost any position and to almost always be comfortable. Having long legs and fragile bones means they are prone to broken bones, especially in the first few years of life. They should not be allowed to jump off high surfaces and be monitored when held by children. Additionally, miniature pinschers can have luxating patella, or dislocated kneecap, and should be checked by a vet for this when young. This can often lead to surgery, so potential owners need to consider incurring these types of expensive bills.

Miniature Pinscher breed standard calls for 10 to 12.5 inches at the withers (shoulders) with any dog under 10 or over 12.5 not eligible to be shown. The original Miniature Pinscher actually had more variance as being a cross between a smooth coated Dachshund and a Miniature Greyhound (known today as the Italian Greyhound, led to some carrying the Dachshund legs while others carried the Italian Greyhound leg creating some short and some tall. After many years of German breeding an average was maintained. Though today's standard is smaller than the original. Germans breed Miniature Pinschers until they could not stand due to small size and frailty, but there was good breeding stock left in Sweden.
