how bout if I told you sir that I have already touched a maxxum 7D? (it was from my uncle abroad and i had the priviledge to gave it a try when he came here last Christmas 2005)

anywayz contrary to your claim, I'm not presenting myself as expert about DSLR, I just wanted to share some infos that I got from some sources [PROS from the internet and magz] who are definitely all-knowing about this stuff, hoping that somehow other istoryans might also get an idea of what i've learned [isn't istorya.net a medium where everybody is free to share infos]..now if there is something wrong with what I'm doing just because I don't own a high-end camera then I guess I'll just have to shy away from sharing infos here just to avoid being branded as "presenting to be-knowledgeable about something I haven't even touched" from a respectable mod.

Oh I suppose I'll have get back posting in the photography section when I finally get rid of my cheapo CANON A410 POINT AND SHOOT for a spanking new D-S-L-R...If that will make your day bright, so be it!

    to crashy and Ian..thanks bro!

tolstoi: don't take it too personal. I never claimed that YOU were presenting yourself as an expert. Was your username in any of my post? It was a general observation.

aww i'm not taking it personally..it's just that your observation is pretty discouraging to those who don't have a DSLR and yet is just helping others by sharing infos commonly found on the NET..etc

if there is such a word lke RACIST then i dunno what's the equivalent word for it in the Photography world..person who have prejudiced views on people who are just using low-end cams..that is only an observation though.

that would be my last reply. God Bless!

so you are now accusing me of being prejudiced against people who use P&S to the point of comparing me to a racist? Now that is a personal attack. Your observation cannot be a generalized statement since you were addressing me.

I suggest you take a look again as I even suggested in another thread that exif data not be included as not to create an influence against P&S shooters.

There's nothing wrong posting comments or suggestions even without literally touching the items or something like that (referring to dSLR). Come on! You can get all infos / might be a reviews from a website and still sharing it to less fortunate others.

it's kinda sad to see the thread degenerate into this OT discussion.... after all, we're all interested in photography.....

There's a difference between sharing info and being a know-it-all. That was my point. It was just an observation that someone obviously took it too personal.
