So, I made a decision to just stick with jeepneys and taxis. I just think to myself that I am helping the drivers earn a living and helping myself save, so it's a win-win scenario, di ba?

^ good thinking. hehe. i actually like older cars than the new ones. i'd choose to drive an old pick-up truck anytime. sa pagkakaron jeep lang or taxi. i don't mind. kung ma dala ug lakaw, hala lakaw.

why do we have to spend a lot if were only earning a little. so we must live within our means...thats why most of us are contented with what we currently have its because we want everything. in achieving that they will resort to lending w/c is not a solution but a problem. we should be contented of what we have. we can have what we want by time and not in an instant... so we must save...

if i am not mistaken....sa oprah before...women who were either just stay-at-home moms or ordinary teachers, said that one of their secrets is that they LIVE WAAAYYY BELOW their means.

tendency man gud nato is that we get a salary increase...we immediately spend future salaries. hahayyyy.

Ur right. You should live within or below ur means...Spending habits mag start gyud na sa family. It's not how much you earn that matters but how much you save...Even if you're earning in dollars if you don't have good spending habits most likely you will still have debts.I have friends and relatives who used to stay in the Phils but decided to migrate in the US but still working hard to pay their debts bec. they are buying cars like volvo and bmw when there are cheaper cars in the market...Wherever you are if your spending habit is the same, wala gyud ma save.

Purple, agree with you on that. Its really more about attitude on money. You should control it. Dont let it control you.

people complain about low salary where in fact the problem is not the salary but its just their life style and their standards are too high. many would resort to quitting their current jobs and look for a better paying one and if they can find a better paying job, still they face the same problem its because their lifestyle changes again.

we must live within our means as they say but if you have a better paying job that good but dont change your lifestyle because of that but take it as an opportunity to save a lot and not to spend a lot instead.

True @ Sinsiyo.....the more you make man gud the more you spend. What is bad is if you spend what you dont have. So control your spending and only purchase what is necessary. Treat yourself to something nice once in a while you deserve that too. Some of you might ask, what is there to control if there isn't enough right? hehehe its understandable specially in Pinas.....lisud kaayo ang money salaries not enough so make do of what you have and be happy na lang even without money. Think of ways towards self-sufficiency instead of dependency.
