an excerpt...
Why is it that with over 60 years of improvements in cameras, lens sharpness and film grain, resolution and dynamic range that no one has been able to equal what Ansel Adams did back in the 1940s?
Ansel didn't even have Photoshop! How did he do it? Most attempts fall short, some are as good but different like Jack Dykinga, but no one is the same.
ahhh but i still want the EFS 17-55 F2.8 ISultimate walk around lens
when you print your picture and show it to you non-photographer friend, does he ask what lens did you use?
hehe good point, he'll say who took the picturewhen i get lens lust fever i just read that link

really? i wonder what reviewthe only cons i read is for the price it didn't include the lens hood, no environmental sealing, not an L build quality, high price! other than that it's really something, most of the users are raving about it, but i really can't afford this one, so it remains just a dream hehe

anyways a more afforable walk around lens i think would be the EF-S 17-85, you can get a good price for a 2nd hand one, some are selling it at 23-25k, its the mm range and the IS that makes it very versatile...
